Hold the drama—snack wraps are actually coming back.
For those who have been saying that McDonald’s can’t seem to make the snack wraps come back, well, the fast food giant is actually doing it. And yes, it’s happening this year. McDonald’s has confirmed the return date for the fan-favorite item (kind of), and it did so via X. Snack wraps were originally brought onto the menus in 2006 and was discontinued in 2016. After years of fan requests, the Golden Arches finally listened.

On April 15, 2025, McDonald’s took to X to reveal that the Snack Wraps are returning sometime this year. In a tweet, the brand shared that the item will make its grand return on “Ox.14.2025.” The month wasn’t specified, but one thing’s for sure, the cult-favorite item is officially coming back! Fans had their own guesses on when the menu item will drop, and a lot of them think that it’s going to happen in June. Earlier, McDonald’s USA president, Joe Erlinger, shared in an interview with Good Morning America, that they can’t reveal the exact date of the release for “competitive reasons.”
For those who need a refresher, Snack Wraps feature chicken breast, cheese, a sauce, and lettuce, all encased in a soft flour tortilla. With the return of the Snack Wraps, we shall see if the new Chicken Strips are going to be a part of it, but most fans already think that the introduction of chicken strips is the gateway to snack wraps.
What’s New at McDonald’s?
Of course, McDonald’s is doing way more than just teasing us with the release of snack wraps. The fast food chain has been on an ongoing journey of improving the quality of their menu items, as well as releasing exciting collaboration meals. In case you missed them, here are the latest drops from McDonald’s:
New Lemonade Recipe
On April 8, McDonald’s announced that it will be offering a new 5-ingredient lemonade, replacing its previous offering, Minute Maid Lemonade. This means, fans can now enjoy the fruity drink in a fresh way. The new lemonade was first introduced as a test item back in 2023. It was called Premium Lemonade, and fans immediately fell in love. Those who have tried the new drink claim that it tastes freshly squeezed and real.
According to McDonald’s, the new lemonade includes lemon juice from concentrate, lemon pulp, natural flavors, water, and cane sugar. Meanwhile, its previous offering included ingredients like modified food starch, Yellow 5, and high fructose corn syrup. The new version is now up for grabs at all participating McDonald’s locations nationwide.
A Minecraft Movie Meal and Happy Meal

Minecraft has taken over the McDonald’s Happy Meal! Even more thrilling is the fact that there are two Minecraft-inspired meals that you can grab at the Golden Arches. Build your own world (and your meal) with the “A Minecraft Movie Meal” and “A Minecraft Movie Happy Meal.” The former gives you a choice between a Big Mac or a 10-pc. order of Chicken McNuggets, served with medium fries, drink, and a limited-edition collectible. Should you choose the nuggets, you can also try the limited-edition hot sauce inspired by The Nether, the Nether Flame Sauce. With this meal, you can get one of the six collectibles inspired by the film and McDonald’s iconic characters:
- Big Mac Crystal
- Birdie Wings
- Fry Helmet
- Grimace Egg
- Soda Potion
- Zombie Hamburglar
Meanwhile, every “A Minecraft Movie Happy Meal” comes with one of the 12 film-inspired figurines or Block World toys, plus a scannable code to unlock an exclusive digital game. This code can be used to complete your own quest in the A Minecraft Movie World via happymeal.com.

From The Club
We’re finally one step closer to getting the Snack Wraps back at McDonald’s. We know the day and year of the return, and from these clues, it’s possible for snack wraps to return in less than a month or in as long as eight months (we prefer the former, thank you). While waiting, we can only sip on the new fresh lemonade on the menu, or even better, heal our inner child with the Minecraft-inspired meals. 😂
