Birdcall debuts the K-POP Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which offers a limited edition taste of Korea at all its locations. The sandwich includes Birdcall’s all-natural, award-winning buttermilk crispy chicken with Korean BBQ glaze, gochugaru, and kimchi slaw. The gochugaru chili flakes add a sweet heat, which balances the tangy kimchi slaw very well.
This flavorful combination was created by Birdcall’s Vice President of Culinary Innovation, Amador Acosta, which aims to introduce a unique yet familiar taste of Korean Fried Chicken.
Customers can enjoy the new K-POP sandwich at all Birdcall locations in Colorado, Arizona, and Texas for $9.95, available until July 2. The sandwich is made to order and customizable to fit personal tastes or dietary needs. The kimchi slaw and Korean BBQ sauce are vegan, allowing the sandwich to be made vegan with Birdcall’s Meati patty or gluten-free with grilled chicken and a lettuce bun.
The K-POP is a part of Birdcall’s monthly sandwich program, Birdcall Presents. With it, $1 from each K-POP sandwich sold will go to the Colorado Springs non-profit Partners in Housing. In its first year, the Birdcall Presents program has donated $74,000 to various non-profit organizations supporting local communities.

Birdcall’s Journey: From Origin to Present-Day Innovation
Birdcall first welcomed customers in 2016 with a goal to serve high-quality and delicious chicken sandwiches in a convenient and advanced way. The founders who were already known for their success with the popular Denver-based restaurant group, Park Burger, wanted to create a dining experience that was different from traditional fast food.
Instead of greasy and pre-made meals, Birdcall focused on using fresh, all-natural ingredients and cooking all food items every order. They also used a modern strategy by using digital order kiosks, cutting customers’ order waiting times and letting them customize their orders.
The K-POP Chicken Sandwich: A Taste of Korea
Birdcall brings the heat in preparation for summer with its newest menu item, the brand-new K-POP Crispy Chicken Sandwich. This limited-time sandwich has a mix of Korean flavors and Birdcall’s signature crispy chicken.
Here’s what makes the K-POP sandwich special:
- Flavor Fusion: The new K-POP Crispy Chicken Sandwich highlights a crispy chicken breast garnished in a sweet and savory Korean BBQ glaze. It’s topped with gochugaru chili flakes for a special touch of heat and a smooth kimchi slaw for a unique tangy crunch.
- Customizable Options: Like all Birdcall sandwiches, the K-POP Crispy Chicken Sandwich can be customized to fit every customer’s preferences. You can make it vegan by swapping the chicken for a Meati patty, or go gluten-free with grilled chicken and a lettuce bun.
- Supporting a Good Cause: By ordering the K-POP sandwich, you’re not just having a full meal but also giving back to the community. Birdcall will donate $1 from each K-POP sandwich sold to Partners in Housing, a non-profit organization located in Colorado Springs that helps homeless families.
You can order the K-POP Crispy Chicken Sandwich at all Birdcall stores in Colorado, Arizona, and Texas for $9.95, until July 2, 2024. Don’t miss out and get this flavor-packed chicken sandwich while supporting a good cause!

From The Club
As a lover of Korean culture and cuisine, I’m super picky when it comes to any Korean-inspired western food as I want the flavors to remain true. With that, you can easily tell I’m excited for the release of Birdcall’s new K-POP Crispy Chicken Sandwich, as I’m fairly intrigued and curious on how the gochugaru chili flakes will play its part in the chicken sandwich’s flavors. To be honest, I’m hoping it will taste far from Korean-inspired chicken wings as I think those undermine the real flavors of Korean chicken wings. I guess I still have until July 2 to visit Birdcall and test it out.
