The beverage company is defying gravity with new drinks and drinkware inspired by the upcoming film.
The Ozians are all set for the massive success of the film Wicked, coming to theaters this November. To further build excitement, Starbucks and Universal Pictures are asking us to look at the Western Sky for their magical collaboration. This gives us exclusive drinks and merchandise inspired by the film and its two main characters, Elphaba and Glinda. The word is that this is the first time Starbucks will be releasing new sips based on a film, making it a collaboration you wouldn’t want to miss!

Starting October 22, 2024, Starbucks and Wicked fans can have an otherworldly experience with two new handcrafted beverages, available for a limited time: Elphaba’s Cold Brew and Glinda’s Pink Potion. Let zoom in on the wicked details of these drinks:
- Elphaba’s Cold Brew: This thrilling creation features a steeped custom blend of beans, sweetened with a syrup in peppermint flavor. For an Oz-dusting of magic, it’s finished with a smooth, non-dairy matcha cold foam and green candy sprinkles. According to the beverage developer, Rosalyn Batingan, this drink offers a unique twist on Starbucks’ signature Cold Brew, and is inspired by Elphaba’s bold character and uncommonly green skin.
- Glinda’s Pink Potion: Meanwhile, this drink is as vibrant as Glinda’s character. Imagine Starbucks’ Mango Dragonfruit Refresher, combined with coconut milk, ice, and real, freeze-dried dragonfruit. But it doesn’t end there. The drink is also topped with non-dairy strawberry cold foam and dusted with colorful candy sprinkles. Starbucks beverage developer, Natalia Vasquez, shared that this magical sip celebrates Glinda’s love for all things pink.

Besides the wickedly delicious drinks, Starbucks is also offering Wicked-inspired merch. Starting October 22, customers can get their hands on the Wicked-themed Starbucks Cards. A collection of tumblers and cold cups in shades of pink, green, and gold is also flying to Starbucks stores in November 7, 2024. The merchandise and new sips are both available for a limited time or until supplies last.
Meanwhile, the film Wicked from Universal Pictures will arrive to theaters on November 22, 2024. The story centers on the witches of Oz, Elphaba, a young woman who didn’t feel a sense of belonging because of her green skin, and Gilda who’s popularity and privilege will lead her to discovering her heart’s true desire. Watch them take on extraordinary adventures, fulfill their destinies, and grow their friendship. Wicked Part Two is set to be released on November 21, 2025. Until then, we can only hope that there’s another batch of new drinks and merch coming to Starbucks next year.

According to Little Caesars’ Chief Marketing Officer, Greg Hamilton, the new Crazy Puffs is the perfect companion to level up gamers’ Call of Duty experience.
