Ice cream sandwiches are a great treat, especially in the summertime. They bring back fond memories and are a tasty way to cool down on warm summer days. These frozen sandwich treats combine the best of both worlds: the cool, creamy goodness of ice cream and the satisfying chewiness of cookies. Plus, their portability makes them a convenient choice for picnics, beach trips, or any outdoor activity.

With summer nearing its end up north, Subway Canada introduces its new Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich. This crave-worthy treat has creamy vanilla ice cream sandwiched in between two Subway cookies that are packed with rich chocolate chunks—a perfect end to any hearty Subway meal. It will be available for a limited time only until supplies last.

Other Treats to Try from Subway Canada
Subway Canada has been spicing up summer with its Footlong Sidekicks: the Footlong Pretzel, the Footlong Churro, the Footlong Cookie, and the Footlong Dippers. The word is that fans have been enjoying these menu offerings from the brand, so here is a closer look at what you might be missing out on:
- Footlong Pretzel: A soft, chewy pretzel that’s a perfect savory snack for any time of day. Get it for $4.
- Footlong Churro: A sweet, cinnamon-sugar churro that’s crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, ideal for satisfying your sweet tooth. The Footlong Churro is available for only $3.
- Footlong Cookie: This giant, freshly baked cookie offers a classic sweet treat in a footlong size for only $6.
- Footlong Dippers: These footlong sandwich rollups come in Two Cheese, Pepperoni & Cheese, and Ham & Cheese varieties, each priced at $5 and with a choice of three dips. These are great for when you just want a light but filling snack.

These items are part of Subway Canada’s summer of footlong promotion called “Footlong All Summer Long.” This means that customers might only be able to get these items until the end of the season. So, if you haven’t yet and you live in Canada, best drive to your nearest Subway and try them before summer ends.
Subway Canada’s Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich
Subway’s announcement of the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich, just in time for National Ice Cream Day, comes as a move to offer more diverse and appealing options in their Canadian outlets. This move taps into today’s popular dessert trends, such as taking two familiar desserts and creating a mashup that enhances each component. Subway’s Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich is an example that brings two classic treats together, combining a layer of vanilla ice cream with Subway’s signature chewy chocolate chunk cookies.
In effect, the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich not only makes Subway Canada stand out in fast-food desserts but it also appeals to families and kids who are looking for something tasty and new this season. It’s also possible that Subway’s decision to restrict this sweet offering to Canadian Subway restaurants suggests a targeted market test, which means that this limited-time dessert could likely extend to other markets if it proves successful.
Remember, the new Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich from Subway Canada will only be available until supplies last, so be sure to try it before it’s off the menu. To see more of what Subway offers up north, visit the official Subway Canada website and follow their social pages.

From The Club
Subway Canada’s new Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich sounds like a great treat for summer—or any season, really. I’d happily have it even in the winter as well. Subway’s cookies are already great on their own, so adding cool vanilla ice cream to it just takes it to a whole new level. The Canadian version of the Subway’s sidekicks also looks amazing. I’ve read that the pretzel is so good you wouldn’t want to share it, even if it’s a footlong in size. I wonder how it compares to Subway America’s pretzel by Auntie Annes? Canada’s version definitely looks a little more like a German pretzel that hasn’t been formed into a knot. Overall, I think Subway Canada has some pretty exciting things going on over there, and I’m kind of jealous.
