Subway Seafood Sensation Recipe Copycat

From the CEO: I used to work at Subway in the 90’s as a ‘Sandwich Artist. It was my third job at 16 (after my job at Wendys) and one of my favorites. We had the classic V cut method; Subway stamps for free subs, and I loved eating at Subway. My only issue was that my hands would smell like bologna pretty much every day, you just couldn’t get rid of the smell! 😂

Back then this sandwich was called the Seafood Salad, and it was one of my favorites to make. White bread, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, salt and pepper, with oil and vinegar on top. Just thinking about it makes me hungry. So here you go, your chance to recreate this classic sandwich.

Subway Seafood Salad Sensation Secret Recipe

Today we release the secret to crafting the classic Subway Seafood Sensation at home. It's pretty simple, starting with a blend of imitation crab and real mayonnaise, seasoned for taste. I have some links to some products if you want to make it easy to grab everything at once.

  • Mixing Bowl Set
  • 1- 1.5 lb Imitation Crab
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • salt & pepper to taste

Optional Ingredients:

  • ¼ tsp dried dill weed
  • ¼ tsp of lemon juice
  1. Remove crab from package and use your fingers to separate the pieces of crab.

  2. Chop and shred the crab in a large bowl.

  3. Add all other ingredients and mix thoroughly.

  4. Let it stand in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours or overnight to mix the flavors.

  5. Serve with crackers for a snack or deli rolls for a the perfect seafood salad sensation sandwich.

To really get it like Subway, make sure you add the salt and pepper on top of the Seafood Salad and put some olive oil and red wine vinegar on top to add a little magic touch.

  1. Almost there. There is something missing. I’ve tried this recipe a dozen times with slight variations to see if I can fix it but no matter what I try it is nothing like the original Subway seafood salad
