Calling all ice cream fans and dessert fans alike, today is the day that you’ll scream for ice cream since it’s Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry’s! In case you don’t know, the Vermont-based ice cream company has been giving away free ice cream to their customers annually since 1979, after the company was established.
Dave Stever, CEO of Ben & Jerry’s, said that Free Cone Day has always been a gratitude made by the brand. They wanted to thank their fans in the world with a free ice cream to offer. Stever added that this year, they were reminded of how powerful small moments can be.
From 12 to 8 p.m., customers may get a free Ben & Jerry’s scoop of their choice with a cone included at participating Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops. What’s great about this is that ice cream fans are encouraged to get back in line as many times as they like to get more scoops. Why? They wanted to break the company record by giving out 1 million scoops today. 😋
Catch the new flavors of Scoop Shop’s exclusive Mango, which features a swirled blend of mango and ice cream. You can even get some fan favorites like Impretzively Fudged, which features some fudge-covered pretzel barks in plain chocolate ice cream. You can also score the PB S’more, which is made with toasted marshmallow ice cream with peanut butter cups, graham bits, and some marshmallow swirls.
You can also grab some non-dairy options like the classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough or Strawberry Cheesecake with graham cracker swirl.

Häagen-Dazs
The weather is slowly warming up this spring, and before the heat of the summer shows, Häagen-Dazs is adding a new sundae-style dessert to their menus for a limited time only. Until July 14, you can try their new Salted Brown Butter Cookie Dazzler at Häagen-Dazs scoop shops around the U.S.
This treat, which is Häagen-Dazs take on an ice cream sundae, features the new Salted Brown Butter Cookie flavor with chocolate toppings, crunchy cookies, and a generous swirl of whipped cream. Now, the new Salted Brown Butter Cookie ice cream is completed with layers of chocolate chip cookies and hot fudge, and the dessert is finished off with whipped cream. There are even more cookie pieces and gooey chocolate fudge around.
But if you prefer a much simpler scoop, then you can order the Salted Brown Butter Cookie as a scoop placed in a cone or cup. Craving for milkshakes? Then, request to turn the Salted Brown Butter Cookie ice cream into a milkshake.
The new Dazzler sundae treat will actually replace Häagen-Dazs’ three-coffee milkshakes, which was introduced as a limited-time milkshake last February. But if you’re missing them a little extra today, you can just order the Coffee Chip Shake. It’s just like drinking coffee but in a coffee-flavored ice cream form.
While Häagen-Dazs has 200 scoop shops in the country, some places aren’t lucky enough to have one near them. You can have a taste of the Dazzler sundae by buying a Häagen-Dazs Salted Brown Butter Cookie in pints over at your local grocery stores. It’s just the same ice cream base but without the toppers and hot fudge. As long as Häagen-Dazs ice cream pints are available at your local grocery stores, then you can expect to find the new Salted Brown Butter Cookie in the freezer.
Handel’s
Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream is also chirping this spring as they introduce their newest flavor. Say hello to the Raspberry Dream Cream flavor. It blends the tangy raspberry fruit sherbet with Handel’s signature vanilla ice cream.
The limited-time treat was actually created by innovative California franchisee Keith Kesler. It’s the balance of sweet and tart that is swirled into a dessert. What’s great about this new ice cream flavor is that it captures the “dream team” through Kesler’s passion, which is fruity notes from sherbet with the branding of Handel’s timeless classic of creamy vanilla that came together perfectly to create the Raspberry Dream Cream. Expect to get a scoop until June 1, 2025.
Smashburger
Enough with the ice cream talk; let’s move on to the burgers that go perfectly well with your ice cream! Smashburger is introducing a new menu item called Jalapeño BBQ Bacon Stack Smash, and what’s great about it is that it’s inspired by three best-selling burgers standing on the Smashburger menu!
The new Jalapeño BBQ Bacon Burger features crispy applewood smoked bacon, fresh-sliced jalapeños, melty American cheese, and smoky BBQ sauce. They’re all stacked on a Certified Angus Beef patty. Every bite will reveal the smokiness and richness of the burger, making them a must-try for all those who seek new flavors.

I can’t believe that I’m having a hard time choosing my favorites among all of the new releases for this batch. My April is pretty booked, but I would love to have one day of just chilling while eating my Smashburger stack and Häagen-Dazs’ Salted Brown Butter Cookie! But I guess the safest one to get today is Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone! 😋
