Friendly’s commemorates 89 years of serving families since its opening their first restaurant in 1935. With this, you can enjoy single-scoop cones for 89 cents in honor of their 89 years of service. The promo will start from July 17 to 21, 2024. Additionally, Friendly’s Sweet Rewards Club members who sign up for the Fan Club this July’s national ice cream month will receive a Fribble milkshake for only $2 for the entire month of July. How cool is that?
Looking for more unique ways to spend National Ice Cream Day? The ice cream chain invites you to join in on Founder’s Day festivities, which will feature kid-friendly entertainment and 89-cent soft serve cones. Visit one of these six locations together with your children and create memories:
- Hockessin: 2 – 6 PM. on July 18
- Pembroke: 1 – 5 PM. on July 19
- Orlando: 4 – 8 PM. on July 19
- Naugatuck: 12 – 4 PM on July 20
- East Islip: 12 – 5 PM on July 20
- Baltimore: 12 – 5 PM on July 21
Dawn Petite, President of Friendly’s Restaurant, wants their guests to relieve their love for ice cream on Founder’s Day. She said that their restaurant aims to create lasting memories by throwing a party like it’s 1989. A Sweet Journey
Founder’s Day celebration isn’t complete without honoring the founding brothers who had established the shop’s restaurant industry from scratch to where it stands today. Friendly’s sweet beginnings take us back to 1935 when the Blake brothers, Thomas and Curtis, founded their first ice cream shop in Springfield, Massachusetts. They decided to name the ice cream shop “Friendly,” an iconic brand name that serves as a promise that the place would be a friendly place for families to enjoy each other’s company over a meal. Now, Friendly’s Restaurants Co. LLC continues to open new restaurants to serve ice cream offerings to both new customers and rewards members.
Today, Friendly’s restaurant company still serves their classics, such as Friendly’s Big Beef Burgers, homemade pints ice cream novelties, and sundae for dessert for an everyday value price.
