Attention, Taco Bell fans. Your favorite fast food place is joining in the Chicken Wrap Wars, and you can’t miss them out!

Taco Bell is taking their Crispy Chicken to the next level, and it isn’t your standard chicken that they used to serve. Mark your calendars, as on June 17, 2025, Taco Bell is taking their cult favorite Crispy Chicken up for a spin. They’re taking in the recipe to load it into a taco and burrito format. First off, the new Crispy Chicken Strips ($2.79) are made with the same signature tortilla-coated crunchiness and all-white meat chicken that’s marinated in jalapeño buttermilk that you may remember from the Nuggets.

Want to hear the exciting part? These Crispy Chicken Strips are wrapped in a tortilla filled with crisp lettuce, shredded cheddar, pico de gallo, and your pick of Spicy Ranchero or Avocado Ranch Sauce. Well, Taco Bell knows that fans love their sauces the most. Yup, emphasize “most” that over 20 million sauces have been sold since the Crispy Chicken Nuggets returned on the Taco Bell menu.

The chain’s crispy chicken recipe runs so deep that they couldn’t choose the perfect spokesperson to crown. A cameo casting call was held to bring unexpected icons like Kate Flannery, GaTa, and Christina Petroni, among devoted fans, to try the crispiness of the chicken as well. This special launch builds on the success of Taco Bell’s nuggets, which will probably set the tone for the new Crispy Chicken Strips release!

The Crispy Chicken Lineup

The following Crispy Chicken Strips menu items will drop by July 17, 2025, on the nationwide menu:

  • Crispy Chicken Taco ($2.79) – Features a tender white chicken meat that’s marinated in zesty jalapeño buttermilk and breaded with crispy tortilla chips and breadcrumbs. The taco is then layered with purple cabbage, crisp lettuce, pico de gallo, and shredded cheddar cheese. And of course, one of the best parts that makes up the taco is your choice of sauce, the new Spicy Ranchero Sauce or Avocado Ranch Sauce.
  • Crispy Chicken Burrito ($5.49) – This treat features a full-sized burrito with two pieces of Crispy Chicken Strips in a bed of purple cabbage. There’s also crisp lettuce, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese, all smothered in your choice of Spicy Ranchero Sauce or Avocado Ranch Sauce.
  • Crispy Chicken Strips (2 for $3.99) – Same with the fan-favorite formula of Crispy Chicken Nuggets, these strips are marinated in the same zesty jalapeño buttermilk and coated with crispy tortilla chips and breadcrumbs.

As for the sauces, fans can choose their own sauce to include in both the tacos and burritos. You can also get them à la carte for $.60 or add them to any menu item for $.30, so you can also enjoy them with other Taco Bell favorites. Check out their flavor profiles:

  • Spicy Ranchero Sauce – This new Spicy Ranchero is a creamy sauce made with Anaheim and jalapeño chiles. There are also tomatoes, garlic, and onions to keep the hint of spice that you can taste when you dunk your food or drizzle the sauce.
  • Avocado Ranch Sauce – You can enjoy your Crispy Chicken with a classic avocado-infused sauce. It features a creamy and zesty ranch with hints of avocado.

Taco Bell Loaded Steak and Jalapeno Fries

Taco Bell is slowly rolling out its new comeback menu items, which were unveiled during the Live Más LIVE event that took place in February. Two of them recently dropped at Taco Bell last month, and it’s none other than the Loaded Steak and Jalapeño Fries and their Mike’s Hot Honey Collaboration. The Loaded Steak and Jalapeño Fries appetizer takes the Nacho Fries base and adds a grilled and marinated steak with warm nacho cheese sauce. The fries are also topped with sliced jalapeños and smothered with creamy jalapeño sauce.

Taco Bell also announced their collaboration with Mike’s Hot Honey. It’s a new way for fans to enjoy the Crispy Chicken Nuggets. The two brands collaborated to create the Mike’s Hot Honey Diablo Sauce, which is a combination of Taco Bell’s Diablo Sauce with the sweet heat from Mike’s Hot Honey.

The Chicken Wrap Wars

Looks like Taco Bell is joining the Chicken Wrap Wars between McDonald’s and Popeyes. While they offer the chicken in taco and burrito form, they’re still wrapped, which means they’re the newest addition to the Chicken Wrap offerings. While McDonald’s teased the return of their fan-favorite Snack Wraps first, it was Popeyes who released their Chicken Wraps first. Eventually, McDonald’s settled with a July 10 release, which we would have to wait for.

McDonald’s Snack Wraps come in two varieties, Spicy Snack Wrap and Ranch Snack Wrap, which differ in sauce. Still, they have the same filling of chicken strips, greens, and cheese. They’re available to get as a la carte or a combo meal that comes with medium fries and a drink of your choice. They will finally be available on McDonald’s menu nationwide by July 10, so stay tuned.

On the other hand, Popeyes’ Chicken Wraps is competing with McDonald’s. They contain hand-breaded and battered chicken tenders, lettuce, shredded cheese, and crunchy pickles. They come in three choices: Classic, Spicy, or Mustard. Popeyes even released the Blueberry and Lemonade Tea beverage lineup alongside the wrap. Pair them with a Blueberry Lemonade that you can get chilled or frozen. You can also choose Blueberry Cane Sweet Tea or Blueberry Unsweet Tea

How About an Adobo Dip?

While sauces or dips make a huge difference when it comes to the flavor of your wraps, Chipotle has a new dip in town. Introducing the new Adobo Ranch, which features an addictive sour cream flavor. It has been enhanced by adobo peppers and a blend of herbs and spices. One thing to note about it is that it’s different from any other fast food ranch since they’re made with only real ingredients, with no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives used. Mark your calendars as they will drop by June 17 to add in your burritos, salads, bowls, tacos, and quesadillas.

From The Club

Wow, the fire is igniting between fast food restaurants serving Chicken Wraps, and I’m definitely here for it. It’s nice to see Taco Bell adding a bit of their touch with the burrito and taco offerings while competing with the available wraps. If you ask me, that would definitely be the winning factor of Taco Bell. 😋 Catch their version of wraps as they finally drop on the 17th!
