Taco Cabana rolls out new menu items in time for the Cinco de Mayo festivities. Starting May 1, 2024, these new choices are available at all locations across Texas for a limited time. The menu brings a mix of big Mexican flavors to your table.
The new lineup includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner Tortas. For morning eaters, Taco Cabana serves breakfast Tortas with options like Bacon & Egg, Chorizo & Egg, or Country Sausage & Egg. These are piled high with refried beans, fresh pico de gallo, and shredded cheese.
For lunch and dinner, you can choose from Tortas filled with Carne Asada, Steak Fajita, or Chicken Fajita, with fresh lettuce and pico de gallo. If fries are what you’re craving, try the Loaded Fries topped with Carne Asada, queso, sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. There’s also a Chili Cheese option with queso and chili con carne, or plain fries for those who like to keep things and simple.

In partnership with Jarritos, Taco Cabana introduces Mandarin Sodas as a perfect match for Tex-Mex flavors.
San Antonio locations are also trying out Jr. Bowls and Burritos starting May 1, 2024. These are made for easy eating and are packed with the same great taste in a smaller size.
The Taco Cabana Journey
Taco Cabana has always been about bringing the taste of Mexico to Texas. This Tex-Mex champion started small, but now you’ll find its pink and purple signs across the Lone Star State. It wasn’t just a single person’s dream. It was a group effort that began making waves in 1978, when it opened its first location in San Antonio. Its founders were committed to creating the kind of place you’d want to hang out at any time of the day. A spot where the food is hearty, the vibes are chill, and the colors are as vibrant as a sunset in the heart of Texas.
Cinco de Mayo Fiesta with Taco Cabana
Taco Cabana is setting the stage for Cinco de Mayo, a popular festivity in Texas, with an array of new delicious options. Beginning May 1, 2024, anyone walking through their doors is in for a treat. Each new item is a nod to tradition with a twist.
Morning risers kick off their day with hearty breakfast Tortas. These aren’t your average start-of-the-day sandwiches. Taco Cabana stacks them with the goodness of eggs, meat, and a generous helping of refried beans and pico de gallo, all topped with melty cheese.
But wait, there’s more! For lunch and dinner, the Tortas transform into satisfying feasts filled with grilled delights like Carne Asada and sizzling Fajitas, paired with the freshness of lettuce and pico de gallo.
Let’s talk sides – Taco Cabana’s Loaded Fries. Picture this: golden fries bursting with toppings. Whether you go for the Carne Asada with all the trimmings or the Chili Cheese version, these fries are a meal in themselves. And for the purist, plain fries are kept just as tasty, perfect for dipping or enjoying on their own.
As afternoon turns to early evening, Taco Cabana’s Happy Hour makes any day feel like a party from 3 to 6 p.m, with deals on favorites like Bean & Cheese Nachos, Flautas, and Cheese Quesadillas, it’s the go-to spot for a mid-week unwind. For those with a taste for something different, the Mandarin Sodas, made with Jarritos, offers a refreshing pick-me-up.
Not to be overlooked, Taco Cabana is testing the waters with Jr. Bowls and Burritos at selected locations in San Antonio. This trial could soon become a staple, designed for the hungry yet health-conscious or for those who want a smaller portion packed with big flavor.
