You wouldn’t believe what Denny’s is serving up on their menu.
It’s not even spooky season yet but Denny’s is already bringing in the scares! Okay, so it’s not exactly a Halloween menu, but it’s pretty close. Everyone’s favorite diner is teaming up with everyone’s favorite 80s Horror Comedy to come up with some pretty exciting stuff this August. So, are you ready to savor the afterlife?
Denny’s is dropping a new set of menu items inspired by the sequel of one of the greatest 80s movies of all time, Beetlejuice. Denny’s is pretty famous for their breakfast food, burgers, and shakes. So that should give you a general idea of what to expect. This new menu is called “Take a Bite from the Afterlife” and will be including four new exciting items. Let’s take a look at each one.
Say it Three Times Slam
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. Saying it three times may not make Beetlejuice himself appear, but at least you can get this amazing breakfast item from Denny’s. This is a new take on the classic Grand Slam and features three silver dollar chocolate chip pancakes topped with vanilla cream, chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, and green sprinkles. Additionally, you’ll also get three eggs cooked to your preference and three strips of crispy bacon. Not only does it matches Beetlejuice’s iconic outfit, it’s also an amazing breakfast treat.
Beetlejuicy Burger
Beetlejuice isn’t exactly known for his fondness of burgers but I bet he would definitely love this burger. The Beetlejuicy Burger is a monster of a burger that includes three quarter-pound patties, three strips of crispy bacon, and three slices of provolone cheese. It’s slathered in Denny’s signature Diner Q sauce, and also includes pickles, onions, tomatoes, plus lettuce. It’s all served on a golden brioche bun and even comes with wavy-cut fries.
The Afterlife Melt
Rumor has it that this sandwich tastes so good, that you’ll get a glimpse of the afterlife. Okay, we’re exaggerating a bit but that doesn’t take away from how good this sandwich really is. This is a returning fan favorite and features fried mozzarella sticks plus melted American and provolone cheeses grilled between two slices of artisan bread. It’s served with tomato sauce for dipping and a side of wavy-cut fries.
Cookies ‘N’ Scream Shake
No joke, this shake will have you screaming…in delight. This delicious shake is the perfect complement to wash down all the new dishes in this set of menu items. It’s made with premium vanilla ice cream, OREO cookie pieces, topped with whipped cream, even more OREO pieces, and some green sprinkles.
The much anticipated Beetlejuice 2 is coming to theaters soon in September 6, 2024. But, thankfully, we wouldn’t have to wait that long to try this new menu from Denny’s since it’s expected to drop on August 21st at all participating Denny’s locations nationwide.
So whether you’re a fan of Beetlejuice or a fan of Denny’s or are just looking for something new to eat, the Take a Bite from the Afterlife menu is something you can’t miss. Make sure you try it as soon as it drops.

Best Fast Food Movie Tie-Ins in 2024
Denny’s isn’t the only fast food chain this year to team up with a movie to promote it. There have been several fast food movie tie-ins this year and all of them are actually pretty good. This year, we’ve seen chains like IHOP and Checkers & Rally’s collaborate with big movie releases to release themed products on their menu. Let’s take a look at both of them.
Checkers & Rally’s Ghostbusters ICEEs
The latest sequel to another famous 80s Horror Comedy released back in April. So what better way to commemorate the release of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire than with an actual frozen treat? Checkers & Rally’s thought so and decided to make exclusive new flavors for their ICEEs. We got two flavors: BOO Raspberry and Slimer’s Green Apple. Both were pretty good and well received. This is a great example of incorporating certain themes of the movie into a tie-in product.
IHOP x IF
John Krasinski’s highly anticipated family-friendly film IF was released back in May. There was so much buzz around it that it had tons of tie-in products from brands like Baskin-Robbins and even Oreo. While those products were great, IHOP has them beat because their IF inspired pancakes are simply amazing. There were seven products in total, but the highlights are Blue’s Dazzleberry Pancakes and Unbelieva-Blue Soda Pop.

From The Club
Denny’s has always been great at making movie tie-in menus. Back in 2015, they even had a menu for Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four Reboot. Even in 2016 and 2018, they had menus for Independence Day: Resurgence and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Funny how they always end up making menus for a movie that’s basically a sequel from an IP that started in the 80s/90s. Nostalgia really is a powerful tool. But anyway, I really am excited for the new Beetlejuice sequel and having Denny’s new menu is just the icing on the cake. Make sure you don’t miss out on these limited time items.
