A Nostalgic Summer
This summer, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is serving pure nostalgia with the drinks mentioned above. The coffee chain is celebrating their legacy as the pioneers of Ice Blended drinks through the summer lineup.
These coolers can be traced back to 1987 when a coffee barista at Coffee Bean crafted the chain’s first Ice Blended drinks, unknowingly changing the world of coffee forever. Fast forward to four decades, and the chain is still creating them with new drinks coming out every season. This summer, the Coffee Bean is bringing in the classics like the Ultimate Cold Brew Ice Blended drink and the CaraMocha Ice Blended. The chain has also introduced several new flavors that are perfect for summertime.
Dee Hadley, Head of Marketing, Americas at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, said that they are thrilled to continue the legacy of their tastemakers as they push new flavors to the guests. Hadley also stated that they didn’t just create the Ice Blended drinks, they also started a movement for others.

Latest News From The Bean
Aside from the summer releases, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf also released something new last January that marks their first release for 2025. Well, they offered both hot and cold lattes, which is marketed as the perfect latte! But is there ever a thing such as a perfect latte? The chain is nodding its head as it prides itself on the 5–bean espresso blend!

The beans used are crafted from beans that are sourced from five distinct growing regions, such as Costa Rica and Sumatra. Every bean type is roasted separately to bring out each of its unique flavors. With that, they blend them to give guests a good espresso experience. Here’s what they used to offer:
- Honey & Nut Latte with Califia Farms Almond Milk (Hot and Iced) – This latte drink features a sweet and nutty latte with bold espresso. It has notes of honey, hazelnut, and the creaminess from almond milk.
- Honey & Nut Matcha Latte with Califia Farms Almond Milk (Hot and Iced) – This drink was made for tea lovers as it combines matcha with sweet honey and the texture of almond milk.
- Spanish Latte (Hot and Iced) – A classic latte which features a blend of espresso, condensed milk, and frothy steamed milk that is infused with vanilla, plus an aroma from cinnamon.
Coolers Made For the Summer

There’s another thing to look forward to during the summer aside from beach trips. Of course, it’s the summer coolers released by your favorite fast food and coffee chains. Catch the following drinks as part of their seasonal menus, with different, unique, and familiar flavors.
- Dunkin’s Pink Spritz – This Pink Spritz drink is one of the chain’s summer drink refreshers. It features a fizzy and fruity blend of guava, orange, and passion fruit flavors all blended into one drink. It also contains sparkling water. Joining the Pink Spritz this summer is the chain’s summer lineup, which includes Cherry Berry Twist, Peach Cherry Twist, Butter Pecan Frozen Coffee, and Mint Chocolate Chip Frozen Coffee.
- Einstein Bros. Morning Mocktails – There’s a new drink that you can sip in the morning without a drop of alcohol. That’s right; they’re the popular mocktails featuring Bros Bay Breeze, Dragon Fruit Lemon Drop, Energy Spritz, and Passion Fruit Sunrise.
- KFC’s Mountain Dew Sweet Lightning Peaches & Cream Soda – Behind this drink’s long name is a plunge into a refreshing dirty soda trend. You can even request a vanilla swirl cream to sweeten your drink even more, as it has peach and honey flavors. Note that only select KFC locations offer the summer soda.
- Popeyes’ Blueberry Lemonade and Tea Lineup – Apart from the release of the Chicken Wraps, Popeyes unveiled new summer drinks to go along with it. These drinks build on the hype of the Pickle Lemonade. Beverages included are Blueberry Lemonade (Chilled or Frozen), Blueberry Cane Sweet Tea, and Blueberry Unsweet Tea.
- SONIC’S Sweet Topped Lemonades – You may choose from the classic Sweet Topped, strawberry, and blueberry lavender flavors. Each drink has a fruity base mixed with sweet foam placed on top.
- Wendy’s POWERADE XTRA SOUR – The new POWERADE drinks are making an entrance at Wendy’s in Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines. Choose from Cherry Kicker, Grape Shocker, and Peach Pucker.

From The Club
I never knew that The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf pioneered my favorite Ice Blended drinks! That’s an interesting fact that I can tell the person next to me. 😂 The summer cooler that I’m eyeing at the Bean right now is the Ube Coconut Affogato Ice Blended. I mean, could it get any more summer than ube? That affogato blended with coconut is another reason I want to sip.
