In this roundup, we have KFC and Krispy Kreme and their new limited-time offers that will sweeten the day of Moms and probably just about every American. Meanwhile, Wendy’s and Zaxby’s have new menu items that are sure to keep you refreshed and satisfied in a big way. Let’s dive in before these tasty treasures disappear!
KFC
Remember the iconic Chicken & Waffles from KFC? Yes, it’s back and it’s doing more than just offering a bite of nostalgia. Just in time for Mother’s Day, KFC and Benchmark Resorts & HotelsĀ teamed up to bring the fast food chain’s Chicken & Waffles to in-room dining menus for Mother’s Day weekend. This is KFC’s response to the call of moms on social media for a time and place to relax during their special day.
Moms who are looking for a solo getaway can book a stay at select properties of Benchmark Resorts & HotelsĀ and treat themselves to a delicious brunch-in-bed. Participating hotels in the following locations will roll out the Mom Flies the Coop package on May 10 and May 11, giving moms time to unwind and indulge:
- Boston
- Seattle
- Phoenix
- Daytona Beach Shores, Florida
- Portland, Oregon
The Mom Flies the Coop package includes nightly accommodations, a limited-edition KFC bathrobe, and KFC Chicken & Waffles delivered to their hotel room door, on a KFC-branded dining tray.
According to the President of KFC US, Catherine Tan-Gillespie, they were inspired by the moms on social media sharing that they would want to have a night away for a true relaxation on Mother’s Day. This led to an unexpected partnership with Benchmark Resorts & Hotels and a thoughtful package made just for Moms.
For those who want to book the Mom Flies the Coop package, you may visit this page and use the code: KFCMOMS. Rates start at $159 per night and reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Those who aren’t based in the participating hotel locations, don’t worry. You can still enjoy KFC’s Chicken & Waffles as the chain is offering $0 delivery on all digital orders. If you’re planning for a Mother’s Day celebration, you can order for delivery or Quick Pick-Up via the KFC app; Quick Pick-Up orders can be scheduled up to four days in advance.
Krispy Kreme
As the deadline for obtaining a REAL ID looms, Krispy Kreme is looking to brighten Americans’ day amid the rush. On May 7, 2025, for one day only, the brand is offering FREE Original Glazed Doughnuts in-store. So why not give yourself some treat after getting your ID?
The limited-time offer will be available all day in-store or at the drive-thru for fans who will drop by participating Krispy Kreme locations. Each guest will receive one free Original Glazed doughnut; no purchase or REAL ID required. Take note, though, that there’s a limit of one doughnut per person.
Additionally, Krispy Kreme is encouraging fans to share their experience in getting free doughnuts by using the hashtag #KrispyKreme and tagging @krispykreme on social media.
Wendy’s
Meanwhile, Wendy’s is pouring something new into its glasses after expanding its lineup of Dave’s Craft Lemonades. Say hello to Tangerine Twist Lemonade, a new refreshing drink just in time for summer 2025! According to the fast food chain, this vibrant-colored beverage features a blend of sweet, tangy tangerine and fruity notes of orange and strawberry.
The new Tangerine Twist Lemonade is available in small, medium, and large sizes, with suggested prices of $2.39, $2.69, and $2.99, respectively. Prices may vary by location. Take note as well that this new drink will only be available at participating Wendy’s locations for a limited time.
And in case you missed it, there are many more ways to cool down at Wendy’s as the weather heats up. The chain recently launched the new Frosty Swirls, which combine the Vanilla or Chocolate Frosty base with one of the three available indulgent sauces: Strawberry, Caramel, and Brownie Batter. However, it doesn’t stop there, because come May 12th, we’ll witness the arrival of Frosty Fusions, which combine the Vanilla or Chocolate Frosty base with a sauce and mix-ins like OREO cookie pieces or Pop-Tarts Crunch Poppers pieces. Exciting, right?
Zaxby’s
Something big just landed on Zaxby’s menus! After a successful test at select locations in Charlotte, NC, the brand has officially launched the new Giant Quesadillas at participating locations nationwide. This big and bold twist on a classic menu item will have two varieties: Chicken Bacon Ranch and Chicken Fajita, both available for a limited time only.
Let’s take a closer look at the new Giant Quesadillas and the two varieties on offer:
- Chicken Bacon Ranch Giant Quesadilla – This features a warm flour tortilla loaded with three hand-breaded Chicken Fingerz, melty Cheddar Jack cheese, crispy bacon, and Ranch sauce.
- Chicken Fajita Giant Quesadilla – This features a warm flour tortilla filled with three hand-breaded Chicken Fingerz, grilled onions and peppers, melty Cheddar Jack cheese, and Southwest Ranch sauce.
Expect to pay around $13.99 if you’re getting a Giant Quesadilla, served with a small drink and a side of ranch for dipping. It’s also available as an a la carte item for $8.83. Prices may vary by location. Again, the new Giant Quesadillas will be around for a limited time only, until July 6, 2025. So go get yours before they’re gone!

I can see that KFC is really big on celebrating Mother’s Day, and it’s so thoughtful of them to think of a way for moms to spend the night away while indulging in some Chicken & Waffles. And honestly? That sounds like a really nice staycation idea. Wendy’s, on the other hand, keeps on giving us new refreshing beverages and treats.
