McDonald’s is about to drop the best dessert this season!
You know that summer is officially in full swing when McDonald’s announces a brand new dessert! For years, the fast food giant has been releasing tons of iconic menu items like the Big Mac, the Chicken McNuggets, and of course, the McFlurry. Recently, we’ve seen McDonald’s get really creative with their McFlurry flavors. Back in May, they dropped the Grandma McFlurry which was an excellent dessert that generated a lot of buzz on release. Over in Canada, they also had the Confetti Cookie Dough McFlurry and the Strawberry Cheesecake McFlurry. But this time, they’re creating something that truly pushes the boundaries of their famous dessert.
McDonald’s in the US is finally launching the new Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry next week! McDonald’s previously released both a Kit Kat McFlurry and a Banana Split McFlurry but this time, they decided to put both flavors together in one delicious dessert package. The new Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry features their signature vanilla soft-serve mixed with pieces of Kit Kat along with strawberry and banana flavors. It has a good crunch to it which complements the dessert’s creamy flavor.
Everyone is definitely excited to try this new menu item. Fortunately, we wouldn’t have to wait much longer. The Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry will be available in all McDonald’s locations nationwide starting on July 10, 2024. Although, some stores have already started selling the item and have it already listed on their website.
So let’s all head on down to McDonald’s on July 10th and get ourselves a taste of what summer is really like at the Golden Arches. Let’s just hope their ice cream machines won’t breakdown!

The McFlurry is one of the most iconic fast food items to ever grace McDonald’s menu. It’s been around since the 90s and has since made its mark in the industry. It was initially only released as an Oreo McFlurry. While there’s nothing wrong with the classic, it doesn’t hurt to experiment and introduce a few new flavors every now and then to keep things fresh. So, let’s take a look at recent McFlurry flavors that McDonald’s released and why they’re great.
Confetti Cookie Dough McFlurry
The Confetti Cookie Dough McFlurry is one of the best regional McFlurry flavors of all time. First released in McDonald’s Canada, this limited-time flavor was so good that it didn’t take more than a year before it was brought back to their menu due to popular demand. It has a creamy vanilla soft serve base, swirled chunks of chewy cookie dough, sprinkled with colorful confetti candy pieces, and drizzled with chocolate syrup. While a US release isn’t confirmed yet, we’re definitely keeping our eyes peeled and hope that we’ll get to try this flavor in our local McDonald’s.
Grandma McFlurry
Of course, we can’t forget the most recent brand new McFlurry flavor we’ve had in the United States. The Grandma McFlurry really blew our expectations away with how good it was. It was designed to evoke nostalgic feelings of staying over at your grandma’s place while she served you with butterscotch treats. Needless to say, it definitely succeeded. The Grandma McFlurry was made with butterscotch-flavored syrup and butterscotch-flavored crumbles, mixed into McDonald’s vanilla soft serve. While it was a limited-time item, we hope that its successful run would make it a recurring flavor that McDonald’s will bring back in the future.

The most exciting one coming out this summer has to be the Mtn Dew Baja Blast Gelato. Imagine the signature Baja Blast tropical lime flavor but in gelato form. Sounds like the perfect summer dessert to me.
Wendy’s Triple Berry Frosty
Berries are definitely in this season. Wendy’s new Triple Berry Frosty is an excellent fruity addition to their lineup of Frosty flavors. This new frosty flavor blends the distinct tastes of three kinds of berries: blackberry, raspberry, and strawberry. It’s a great tropical twist to an already amazing dessert. It’s a must try this summer season but like most summer menu items, we have to act fast and try it ASAP because this is a limited-time item.

From The Club
Now this is what I’m talking about! The new Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry is finally arriving at McDonald’s stores nationwide. It’s the perfect dessert, combining both Kit Kat and Banana Split flavors into a single cup. Some McDonald’s locations are already rolling out the dessert. But the good news is, we wouldn’t have to wait that long before all McDonald’s in the country will have it available. Here’s hoping that McDonald’s ice cream machines can handle all the upcoming orders.
