We’re about to face inflation head on with these cheapest value meals from your 15 favorite fast food chains and restaurant. Back to school has never been so light before!

We’ve just entered August, and while we’re being torn between enjoying the peak of summer and slowly transitioning to Fall, our kiddos and teens are also preparing to get back to school. Resuming school duties also signals the return of college fees and supporting our kids by ensuring they have complete supplies and they have enough food to boost them up them for rigorous activities.

Let’s dig into these delicious meal deals from the big names in the fast food and restaurant industry:

Burger King

Taste is King! That’s what Burger King has been standing up for with their menu releases. But let’s add “affordability” in that line with their recent release of the “$5 Your Way Deal” last June. This deal aims to compete with McDonald’s and fair enough, it’s a worthy competition. It features a choice of one of three sandwiches (Whopper Jr., Bacon Cheeseburger, or Chicken Jr.), four pieces of chicken nuggets, fries, and a drink.

Chili’s

Even before summer started last April, Chili’s spoiled its customers with its new Big Smasher. Now, customers can enjoy these treats thanks to the return of their “3 for Me” menu, which comes with fries and a drink for $10.99.

Denny’s

Denny’s brought back its $5.99 All-Day Diner Deals in April, which highlights a choice of quarter pound cheeseburger, country-fried steak, scrambled eggs, and cheddar, or even all-you-can-eat pancakes. It may be a mix of good or bad news but Denny’s hasn’t revealed how long this promo will last, so get it while you can!

Elevation Burger

Treat your little ones during the back-to-school time with a free kid’s meal when you buy an adult burger, sandwich, or chicken tenders. This offer is valid from August 12 to August 18, 2024. You can order online or in-store; just use code Back2School24 at checkout when ordering online or mention the promo in the restaurant.

Hardee’s

Hardee’s is raising its banner and also helps out the back-to-school dilemma with their $5 Original Bag. You and your kiddo can mix and match any two full-size entreés plus a small fry and drink. For big appetites, you can upgrade your fries and drink to medium and large for an additional fee.

Huddle House

Kicks off the back to school season with their own Value Combos Menu, starting at just $5.99. This deal includes eight hearty meals available all day, customized to your liking. Plus, kids can eat for free when you purchase an adult entrée priced at $6 or more (dine-in only, for children 12 and under).

IHOP

Breakfast has always been the highlight at IHOP. The pancake giant currently offers All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes for $5 until September 15, 2024. That’s still a month away from now but you should make the best of it while it’s here. If you’re planning to get this soon, you should remember that this is only available for dine-in at U.S. locations. Upon availing, you will receive a full stack of five buttermilk pancakes, with two extra pancakes served at a time upon your request. Ready to have a big breakfast?

Johnny Rockets

You can always make back-to-school a special occasion at Johnny Rockets! Kids can eat for free with the purchase of an adult entrée. To make the best of this offer, simply inform your server when dining in from August 5 to August 18, 2024.

KFC

Another long-term deal maker, KFC, aids your back-to-school worries with their Taste of KFC Deals. One of the meal options is “$4.99 Meal for One”, which includes two pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, and a biscuit. Plus, on Tuesdays, KFC offers a bucket of eight pieces of chicken for $10. Both promotions are set to continue until the end of 2024. These are definitely what you call a steal!

Marble Slab Creamery

Celebrate back to school season with Marble Slab’s Daily Ice Cream Happy Hour! From 4 PM to 6 PM every day starting August 5 to August 18, 2024, you can enjoy a buy one, get one free deal on small ice creams at participating locations. Just mention the promo when you visit to get your treats!

McDonald’s

Way back in June, McDonald’s introduced its $5 Meal Deal and extended it for our enjoyment this August. For a golden price of $5, you can get your preferred main entrée, small fries, 4-piece nuggets, and a small soda. For your main entreé, you can pick between a McDouble or a McChicken. That’s a deal worth checking out!

Native Grills & Wings

Native Grill & Wings has introduced a new value deal called “3 for You” that will be available from August 5 through September 30. For only $10.99, guests who dine in can enjoy chips and salsa, a choice between a Native Burger or a Native Chicken Sandwich, a side of fries, and a non-alcoholic drink.

SabaRaba

SabaRaba’s is stepping up to help families manage the back-to-school transition with convenient meal options such as $8 Kids Menu, Complete Dinner Pickups starting at $35, and affordable catering options that start at $19 per person.

Starbucks

Starbucks lovers, I’m sure you remember when Starbucks launched their Pairings Menu in June. This deal allowed customers to get a tall-sized hot or iced coffee or tea with a croissant for only $5. Talk about value and taste pairing! Plus, Starbies also offered a tall-sized coffee or tea with a choice of breakfast sandwich for $6 or $7, depending on the sandwich selected. You can still enjoy this Pairings Menu as Starbucks hasn’t yet disclosed when it will end.

Taco Bell

Last July, Taco Bell unveiled their $7 Luxe Cravings Box, which features their Chalupa Supreme, Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Double Stacked Taco, chips with nacho cheese sauce, and a medium drink. Though it’s only available for a limited time, Taco Bell hasn’t announced its end date.

Wendy’s

Wendy’s started a $3 breakfast combo in May. This combo includes an egg and cheese English muffin sandwich with bacon or sausage, along with seasoned potatoes. Wendy’s breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM depending on the location.

White Castle

White Castle is taking steps to offer better value this back to school season by reducing the price of its 10 Cheese Sliders to $7.99, that’s like $0.80 cents per slider! This special price chops more than 30 percent off the regular price of $8.99 in New York and New Jersey. As this is a newly released deal, White Castle is yet to confirm when this deal will end.
