Summer is a state of mind, and that resonates with Burger King’s official frozen lemonade for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
Fall may be coming soon, but that doesn’t mean we can no longer enjoy tropical and cool drinks. That’s why Burger King is giving every summer lover a final treat with their new frozen lemonade.
Make way for Burger King’s new Frozen Pink Lemonade, meant to cool off the summer heat. This fresh and tangy frozen drink will be available to customers nationwide starting August 29, 2024. Notably, this drink will also be featured as the official frozen drink for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
Pat O’Toole, Chief Marketing Officer for Burger King North America, expressed excitement about their partnership with Paramount and MTV. This marks their fifth consecutive year of collaboration and the very first time a product inspired by the VMAs is being introduced. Plus, they also noted that the Frozen Pink Lemonade is as cool and as vibrant as VMAs itself, and it’s the perfect venue to showcase the drink for music and BK fans alike.
To celebrate this collaboration, Burger King is hosting two special events where fans can enjoy the Frozen Pink Lemonade for free:
- VMAs Block Party: On Sunday, September 8, fans can head to Domino Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn from 12-5 p.m. ET to enjoy a block party featuring the new Frozen Pink Lemonade. Other than tasting the new drink, visitors can also wear an iridescent Burger King crown, and win Burger King and MTV giveaways, while supplies last.
- VMAs: Attendees of the VMAs on Wednesday, September 11, can visit the Frozen Pink Lemonade Pop-Up at UBS Arena. This will be an opportunity to try the refreshing beverage before the show.
In addition, before the VMAs, Burger King Royal Perks members can also receive a free small Frozen Pink Lemonade with a purchase of $1 or more through the BK app from August 29 to September 11.
Burger King and MTV have also collaborated to launch a 75-second short film that celebrates the new drink’s refreshing qualities, perfectly suited for the high-energy atmosphere of the VMAs. Paramount Brand Studio produces the film and features multi-platinum Grammy award-winning Dancehall star, Sean Paul and the renowned dance duo Les Twins. It will premiere during the VMAs live broadcast on Wednesday, September 11.

What’s New at Burger King?

- Cheesy Sausage & Egg Breakfast Melt: If you like a sausage in your bread, then you might want to add some cheese, too! Here’s a sizzling sausage patty, fluffy eggs, and two slices of American cheese. You can get it served on toasted bread.
- Cheesy Bacon & Egg Breakfast Melt: This one goes to us, cheese and bacon lovers! We can enjoy a delicious crispy hardwood-smoked bacon, fluffy eggs, and two slices of American cheese, on a toasted bread.
- Cheesy Ham & Egg Breakfast Melt: If you’re into a classic combination of ham & egg then you’d enjoy this breakfast melt. It features a toasted bread with Black Forest ham, eggs, and two slices of American cheese.
- Cheesy Egg Breakfast Melt: This one is for my simple breakfast meal lovers. Enjoy a classic breakfast sandwich with just eggs and two slices of American cheese.
