When it comes to pizza, top chefs know their stuff. While they may be known for crafting gourmet dishes in Michelin-starred kitchens, even the top chefs can’t resist a good fast food pizza. Whether it’s a perfectly baked crust or a mouthwatering cheese blend, these pizzas have won the hearts (and taste buds) of top chefs. Today, we’ll be revealing their favorite fast food pizza that you should definitely check out! 

10. 90 Second Pizza

Chef Amy Riolo, who is also a cookbook author and ambassador at the Pizza University & Culinary Arts Center, mentioned 90 Second Pizza as one of her favorite pizza places. Riolo said that the chain serves “genuine and healthful” pies that are made from fresh ingredients in less time. Her favorite is the Margherita Pizza and Vegeteriana Rossa.

New York’s iconic Joe’s Pizza took the heart of chef and restaurant owner Hermant Bhagwani. He mentioned the fresh sauce and the pizza’s light and crispy dough that you can try out. But most of all, Bhagwani found that the Sicilian slices and the fast service were great, making it his go-to pizza place.

Kyle Jones, head chef at Craft Wood Fired Catering, said that Papa John’s is one of his favorite spots to get pizza. Jones said that he loves the quality and portion size of the pizzas while committing to fresh and never frozen dough. His favorite pizza, as mentioned, is the traditional crust with bacon, pepperoni, and extra cheese.

Hugo Bolanos, the Executive Chef of the Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, said that he has been a loyal customer of Blaze Pizza ever since the chain’s first location. The chef is proud of how the chain grew, even having Lebron James as their supporter and part owner.

When nostalgia hits, Chef Jonathan Scinto picks Pizza Hut as one of his go-to pizza places. He shared that he’s been going to the same place since he was a little kid. Scinto shared that his favorite menu item is probably the deep dish personal pizza with added bacon and beef, just like a flat cheeseburger.

Tony Scardino from Dough Bros Pizzeria said that Jet’s Pizza is everything that a QSR pizzeria should be. Why? Well, Scardino emphasized the two Detroit-inspired pizzas. According to him, every pizza lover knows that square or rectangular pan pizza’s coveted slice is always at the corner. Jet’s Pizza has nothing but corners! 

4. MOD Pizza

Kristal Damron, the Chef de Cuisine of Reward Your Appetite Catering, said that MOD Pizza became her family’s staple during busy days. She explained that the pizzas are baked in wood-burning ovens. Damron shared her family’s go-to, which is a custom combo of garlic, basil, mozzarella, chicken, and mild Italian sausage. There’s also a bit of green peppers, black olives, roasted broccoli, and roasted red peppers. For extra flavoring, they added red onions, roasted garlic cloves, salt, pepper, and oregano.

3. Domino’s Pizza

Like you, Chef Jonathan Scinto likes his pizza from Domino’s. Why? Well, he’s lucky enough to have Domino’s Pizza near home, where he gets his pizza after a long day! He likes to order the 12-inch handmade pan pizza with extra cheese, and it is well done. Besides that, Scinto also likes to pick up Stuffed Cheesy Bread and specialty chicken with bacon and tomato.

2. Pizzeria Locale

In case you don’t know, Pizzeria Locale, which started in Colorado, further expanded to Denver through its collaboration with Chipotle. With that, it met Denver’s chef Rich Bryers from The Corner Office and M*rt*ni Bar saying that the chain has been his go-to because of its fresh and high-quality ingredients that are consistent. Pizzeria Locale has simple options, but Bryers emphasizes the dough that is balanced between crispy and chewy with pizzas that are reasonably priced.

Chef Jim Mumford from Jim Cooks Good Food is a fan of Little Caesars. Particularly, the chef loves the Detroit-style deep-dish pizza, which he said was his guilty pleasure. For him, the Detroit style with the burnt cheese rim and crunchy crust is everything. The ranch that comes as a side is non-optional, which makes every combination complete.
