Whenever we’re talking about the freshest ingredients in fast food, it’s hard not to bring up Subway. I mean, one of their slogans is “Eat Fresh.” Of course, you don’t get to be one of the biggest fast food chains in the world just by using the best ingredients; you gotta serve the best food too. And with this brand new item on Subway’s menu, they’re proving once again why they belong at the top.
Subway is introducing an exciting new addition to their Sidekicks menu called the Footlong Dippers. It’s an excellent new side dish that comes in three flavors: Pepperoni & Cheese, Chicken & Cheese, and Double Cheese. These all sound delicious but what exactly is a dipper? Footlong Dippers are essentially meat and cheese spread onto a soft, warm lavash-style flatbread that’s rolled and then baked to perfection. It’s a great menu item that definitely enhances the Subway experience.
Subway’s Sidekicks have proven to be popular over the years. In fact, they’ve sold over a whopping 30 million Sidekicks since they were first debuted. It won’t be surprising at all to see these new Dippers to be just as popular. They’re specifically designed or both convenience and value.
And that’s not even the best part! The best part is you can pair each Dipper with one of Subway’s signature sauces like Habanero Hot Sauce, Smoky BBQ, Honey Mustard or Garlic Aioli. There’s definitely plenty of dipping choices to enhance your meal. There are about 33 different flavor combinations you can try out according to Subway themselves.

Subway Sidekicks
If you haven’t heard of them, you may be wondering what exactly are Subway Sidekicks. Sidekicks are a brand new limited-time addition to Subway’s menu back when they were introduced in January 2024. They weren’t exactly new wraps or new subs but they were footlongs so they fit right in Subway’s menu. They were originally a collection of three new snacks that served as the perfect complement to Subway’s main entrées. Let’s take a look at each of them.
Footlong Cookies
Subway made sure that these thick and gooey footlong chocolate cookies were the best they could come up with since their culinary team spent an entire year perfecting its recipe. And, as we know by now, they really did make it perfect.
Footlong Churros
This one is another instant classic but Subway had a little help from Cinnabon to get their Churros right. The Footlong Churros were essentially the same cinnamon sugar churros from Cinnabon.
Footlong Pretzels
Like the Churros, Subway partnered with Auntie Anne’s to create a footlong version of their world famous pretzels.

What’s New at Subway?
Apart from these new Sidekicks, Subway has another thing cooking up that’s bringing all the buzz lately. These are their new Lavish Flatbread Wraps. After testing for a while, Subway decided to move forward with using Lavish Bread for their wraps. This type of bread is designed to be softer and mor flexible than their previous flatbreads making it a great ingredient to hold the contents of their new wraps. These 4 new wraps were released back in April and have been a delicious part of Subway’s menu. Let’s take a look at each of them:
- Homestyle Chicken Salad Wrap: This wrap combines rotisserie-style chicken mixed with mayo, and it’s loaded with fresh lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions.
- Honey Mustard Chicken Wrap: Enjoy a wrap filled with rotisserie-style chicken, crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, sharp red onions, and Monterey cheddar cheese, all brought together with a tangy honey mustard sauce.
- Cali Caprese Wrap: Experience the smooth texture of BelGioioso® fresh mozzarella and creamy smashed avocado, paired with lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, along with Roasted Garlic Aioli and MVP Vinaigrette.
- Turkey Bacon Avocado Wrap: Savor the flavors of oven-roasted turkey and crispy bacon matched with smashed avocado and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, Monterey cheddar cheese, and a zesty Peppercorn Ranch.
