Welch’s reveals its new beverage line, which is a trio of refreshing juice drinks crafted from Niagara green grapes. The brand teased the new product ahead of its official Southeast US launch on June 1, adding that the drink is now available at Publix locations.

The new drink is called Grape’ade and it offers the taste of real fruit juice with no added sugar, providing fans of the brand a new hydrating experience. Packaged in handy 16oz bottles, Welch’s Grape’ade comes in three flavors: Strawberry, Mango, and Green Grape. The drink is also free from artificial sweeteners and food dyes.

Nationwide rollout of the new Grape’ade is set to happen in early 2025.

As a promotion campaign, Welch’s started a “Got the Quenchies? Grab a Grape’ade” slogan. The word “Quenchies” refers to the intense craving for something refreshing. Welch’s Grape’ade, with its portable packaging, is designed to be just the solution for those thirst cravings.

Welch’s Grape’ade will be available in stores and at all Publix locations in the Southeast US, beginning June 1. However, nationwide rollout won’t come until early 2025.

Welch’s Legacy of Refreshing Innovation

Welch’s is widely recognized, thanks to their long-standing reputation for high-quality fruit products. It all started in 1869 when New Jersey dentist Dr. Thomas Bramwell Welch developed a method for pasteurizing grape juice to prevent fermentation. After that, Welch’s quickly turned into a household name when the brand’s shelf-stable products became staples you’d frequently find in people’s homes.

Dr. Welch’s son, Charles Welch, was instrumental in the growth of the business. Together, the father-son duo brought the concept of pasteurized grape juice to the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago where it was well-received and earned widespread acclaim. This was the groundbreaking achievement that laid the foundation for the array of products that Welch’s would eventually release. Welch’s continued to expand its product line in their commitment to produce high-quality, natural fruit juices and snacks until they became a trusted brand for generations of families, as we know it today.

Did you know that Welch’s also has a sparkling juice line? That’s right. If you’re one of those people who love the bubbly, effervescent quality of champagne but don’t want to get tipsy from having a glass or two, Welch’s (oh so sophisticated) Sparkling Juices might be the party drink you’ve been looking for.

Welch’s offers a wide range of beverages including non-alcoholic sparkling juices.

The brand currently has a total of six flavors of sparkling juices that all come in bottles reminiscent of real champagne or wine. So, even if you’re only popping open a bottle of Welch’s Rosé Grape, you can feel like you’re sipping on a fancy Moët & Chandon. Other flavors of sparkling juices offered by Welch’s are Red Grape, White Grape, 100% Cider, Sangria, and Strawberry.

From The Club

I love, love, love Welch’s. It’s the grape juice of my childhood and brings back so many memories every time I drink it. TBH, I haven’t tried a lot of the other products from Welch’s, only because the grape juice holds such a special place in my heart and it’s the only drink I buy from the brand for nostalgia’s sake. But strangely enough, I have been looking for a better low-sugar drink option that I can enjoy as an alternative to soda. So, I actually might try this new Grape’ade from Welch’s. All three flavors sound interesting too. I’m especially curious to try the Strawberry one. I’m hoping it captures the tartness of Strawberry better than those drinks that just taste like citric acid. If that’s the case with this new drink from Welch’s then I think I’ve just found my new summer go-to drink.
