Lionsgate’s highly anticipated movie adaptation of the most popular video game, Borderlands is accompanied by White Castle, home of the “Original Sliders,” – one of the go-to food choices for movie nights and even late-night gaming sessions.
White Castle partners with Lionsgate for the “Borderlands” movie release, hitting theaters on August 9. They’ll offer limited-edition, Borderlands movie-themed packaging for six-count packs of White Castle 100% Beef Sliders (Original, Classic Cheese, and Jalapeño Cheese) stored in freezer in retail stores and White Castle restaurants.

These limited-edition Borderland-themed packages include seven augmented reality (AR) experiences featuring Claptrap, a popular robot character from planet Pandora in the game. To access these, customers scan unique QR codes on the specially designed Borderlands packaging found on six-count packs of Sliders in grocery stores and restaurant items like the Crave Clutch and large soft drink cups.
Also, Jamie Richardson, the Vice President at White Castle, has stated that this unique collaboration takes the Beef Slider experience to another level, making it the perfect go-to food for both gamers and movie fans. He also said that sliders are ideal for gaming sessions, pre-movie snack time, and even post-movie talks with friends.
The Borderlands franchise is a critically acclaimed video game with a virtual mix of humor, characters, and cooperative play. Meanwhile, White Castle is known for its message to “follow your crave.” The brand has become a gamer’s favorite thanks to its delicious and shareable Sliders. The packaging will carry the Borderlands logo, graphics, and characters.

Dunkin‘ has collaborated with Scrub Daddy to launch the first-ever Dunkin’ Scrub Daddy and Scrub Mommy sponges. These limited-edition donut-shaped sponges represent Dunkin’s fun style combined with Scrub Daddy’s functional effectiveness. Jack in the Box has collaborated with Marvel Studios to release a new treat for the upcoming “Deadpool & Wolverine,” MCU’s fun summer movie, on July 26, 2024. The much-awaited Deadpool x Jack In The Box collaboration arrived for early access yesterday, July 8, 2024. The new chimichangas menu items called Mini Chimi Bang Bangs are available in limited-edition packaging inspired by the “Deadpool & Wolverine” movie.
