We’re not even halfway through 2024 and we’re seeing lots of amazing new fast food items that are blowing our minds!
Fast food chains love to come up with new and interesting ways to get customers excited about their products. And with what we’ve seen so far, it’s safe to say that we won’t be disappointed.
From brand new items to returning favorites, here are 10 new game-changing fast food items in 2024.
10. Biscoff Doughnuts – Krispy Kreme
Biscoff has a distinct flavor that everybody just seems to love! And what better way to enjoy that flavor than having it on top of Krispy Kreme’s delicious doughnuts? Biscoff and Krispy Kreme are teaming up once more to revolutionize desserts. But this time, it’s bigger and better than ever. Following a collaboration in 2023, these two popular brands are coming out with a new collection that consists of the Biscoff Cookie Butter Cheesecake Doughnut, the Biscoff Chocolate Iced Cookie Butter Crunch Doughnut, and the Biscoff Cookie Butter Iced Doughnut.
The Biscoff Krispy Kreme Collection is available starting January 8, 2024 onwards for a limited time in-shop or via Krispy Kreme’s app and website.
9. Pancake of the Month – IHOP
IHOP is one of the best places to have breakfast and they’re making things interesting by giving us a reason to keep coming back to them. Starting February, IHOP is having a Pancake of the Month where they release a new limited time pancake flavor every month. First up was the Chocolate Strawberry Pancakes, a full stack with four chocolate chip pancakes topped with creamy cheesecake mousse, chocolate sauce, fresh sliced strawberries, whipped topping, and chocolate chips. Then for the month of March, there’s the Girl Scout Thin Mints, which is another full stack with four buttermilk pancakes topped with creamy cheesecake mousse and crumbled Girl Scout Thin Mints. With flavors like these, who wouldn’t be excited for what’s to come?
IHOP’s Pancake of the Month is available on all branches from February onwards.
8. Cauliflower Sliders – Dave’s Hot Chicken
Take one look at this slider and you probably wouldn’t even think that this crunchy looking sandwich would be made entirely of vegetables. Let’s face it, eating vegetables isn’t exactly everyone’s cup of tea. So how do you make veggies even better? By deep frying them of course! Dave’s Hot Chicken (more like Dave’s Not Chicken), introduced this new menu item that surprisingly doesn’t contain any chicken. Instead it’s hand sliced cauliflower heads, seasoned, fried, and placed between two buns.
Cauliflower Sliders are available from January 8, 2024 onwards through Dave’s Hot Chicken branches and on their website.
7. Churro Chillers – Taco Bell
Taco Bell is really starting this year off strong when they introduced a bunch of new menu items during their Taco Bell Live Más Live Event. This may be the first but it definitely won’t be the last item we’ll cover on this list. But anyway, Taco Bell has been experimenting and been looking to get into making shakes and coffees for a while. And now, it looks like they have a winning formula almost guaranteed to be a hit. The Churro Chillers sound absolutely delicious with four flavors of ice cream along with caramel, cold foam, and topped off with crunchy churro bits.

6. Crispy Salt & Vinegar Shrimp – Red Lobster
Salt & Vinegar is a classic flavor that perfectly pairs with potato chips. But have you ever thought about it being on fried shrimp? Red Lobster came out with this new limited time flavor for their Ultimate Endless Shrimp menu and we gotta say, it sounds as good as advertised. Crispy shrimp mixed with the zesty, tangy flavors of salt & vinegar. It’s a great thing that this came with their endless shrimp offering because good luck trying to stop eating them.
The Crispy Salt & Vinegar Shrimp is available at Red Lobster for a limited time starting on January 8, 2024.
5. Fiery Buffalo Royal Crispy Wrap – Burger King
Burger King is upping their wrap game by adding a new option to their line of Royal Crispy Wraps. First introduced back in August 2023, these Crispy Wraps are a proven hit that people just can’t get enough of. The newest addition may be the best one yet. The Fiery Buffalo Royal Crispy Wrap has crispy white meat chicken breast filet coated in a spicy buffalo glaze, creamy buffalo sauce, lettuce and tomatoes all wrapped up neatly in a warm tortilla.
The Fiery Buffalo Royal Crispy Wrap is available for a limited time starting March 7, 2024 at participating U.S. Burger King restaurants.
4. Sourdough Melts – Panera Bread
With all these fast food chains stepping up in 2024 with great new menu items, Panera Bread isn’t one to take all of these lying down. They’re coming up with a new set of Sourdough Melts. Featuring two cheesy melts, these sandwiches feels like everything we love about Panera Bread but stuffed between two crusty sourdough bread slices. There’s the Bacon Avocado Melt and the Southwest Chicken Melt. Both honestly sound good so we urge you to catch them while you can.
The Sourdough Melts are available on all Panera Bread branches nationwide.
3. Crispy Chicken Nuggets – Taco Bell
After years of speculation, Taco Bell is finally joining the chicken nugget trend and coming out with their own. Taco Bell’s Crispy Chicken Nuggets don’t look too special at first glance. But when you find out what they’re made of, you’ll see why a lot of people are very excited about this meal. Imagine all white meat chicken marinated in spiced jalapeño buttermilk before being breaded in a tortilla coating and fried to golden crisp perfection. That’s exactly how Taco Bell described their latest creation. In addition, you also get two sauce options, the signature Bell Sauce and Jalapeño Honey Mustard.
Taco Bell’s Chicken Nuggets are debuting sometime in 2024.
2. Calzone Papa Bites – Papa John’s
Pizzas are inherently finger food on its own but imagine if they could be smaller? I know we all want things to be bigger but hear me out, Papa John’s Calzone Papa Bites are actually the perfect side dish to regular sized pizzas. Each of these bites contain mozzarella, ricotta, pepperoni, sausage, and green peppers. They took everything great about a pizza and stuffed it into a bite-sized calzone that you can dip into their signature pizza sauce. Talk about good things coming in a small package.
Calzone Papa Bites are available at Papa John’s starting from January 29, 2024 onwards.
1. Cheez-it Crunchwrap – Taco Bell
And finally, the fast food item with the most hype comes from none other than Taco Bell. They really outdid themselves this time by collaborating with popular baked cheesy crackers brand, Cheez it. Picture this. Taco Bell’s Crunchwrap, as we all know, contains seasoned beef, cheese sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream. But you add in a not-so-secret ingredient that will really put the crunch in crunchwrap: a giant piece of Cheez-it. You read that right. Taco Bell’s Cheez-it Crunchwrap will contain a piece of Cheez-it that is 16x larger than a regular one. This is the definitive menu item that you should try if you’re looking for something new this 2024.
