Chicken sandwiches are a staple of American fast food. They first started getting popularity after World War II when many delis and small eateries started serving fried chicken on bread. It was a very convenient meal at the time and proved to be a hit among customers. Recently, it became even more popular thanks to the notorious “Chicken Sandwich Wars” started by fast food chains like Chick-fil-A and El Pollo Loco. This led to a number of brands really upping their chicken sandwich game and resulted in some of the best chicken sandwiches we’ve ever had. In fact, I’d like to think that KFC’s latest creation is an indirect result of this friendly competition.
KFC and Kraft just teamed up for an exciting new chicken sandwich release! It’s called the KD Mac & Cheese Chicken Sandwich. It’s made with the classic triple breaded chicken featuring KFC’s signature recipe and it’s served with a helping of KD mac & cheese on top. It’s the perfect combination between a nostalgic childhood snack and a modern fast food favorite. But that’s not the only thing new to come from this collaboration between KFC and Kraft.
Starting Monday this week, KFC restaurants are also offering the KD Mac & Cheese Snacker Wrap. Like the KD Mac & Cheese Chicken Sandwich, this contains a serving of KD Mac & Cheese plus KFC’s chicken tenders, all loaded into a warm tortilla wrap. Additionally, you can also get a Kraft KFC Original Recipe Flavor Mac ‘n Cheese at your local grocery store. It’s the same classic boxed macaroni and cheese from Kraft but it’s actually seasoned with the Colonel’s secret blend of 11 herbs and spices.
Looks like customers of KFC Canada are eating good this time of year! These limited-time items definitely look promising and I hope KFC and Kraft would bring them into the world soon with an even wider release. Don’t miss out so make sure you try them before they’re gone.

Best Fast Food Releases in Canada
KFC isn’t the only fast food chain in Canada to release region exclusive menu items. In fact, this isn’t exactly a new concept since chains like McDonald’s would often adapt local preferences on their locations in other countries. Canada, however, is low key producing some of the best fast food releases this year. I don’t know what it is, but they really got something great going in the north. So, if you’re from Canada, here are some of their best exclusive fast food releases in recent memory.
Little Caesars’ KD Mac & Cheese Crazy Puffs
Canada really loves Mac & Cheese to go with their fast food. This year, Little Caesars dropped one of their greatest creations and one of the best fast food releases of the entire year when they released their Crazy Puffs. These bite-sized treats are basically mini-pizzas that compressed all the flavor, resulting in a flavor bomb with every bite. What could make them even better? Well, they added KD Mac & Cheese into the mix. Needless to say, I hope they get a wide release and make it to the US soon. Until then, we could always just make a quick trip to Canada to try all the country-exclusive fast food items.
McDonald’s S’mores McFlurry
S’mores are a classic campfire treat that is best enjoyed when around a bonfire sharing scary stories. They are one of the best desserts in existence and have actually made its way as a flavor into several treats. We’ve even had a S’mores flavored ramen come out this year. But we’re here to talk about McDonald’s latest exclusive McFlurry flavor in Canada. Introducing, the S’mores McFlurry. It combines McDonald’s famous vanilla soft serve with graham crackers, mini marshmallows, and hot fudge. It sounds pretty basic, but it really captures the taste of S’mores.

KFC is back again with another set of hit menu items. They’ve had a pretty great summer so far and even had one of the most anticipated releases of the season with their Saucy Nuggets. This time, they’re adding another amazing twist on some of their classic menu items. Personally, I’m actually more excited about the Kraft KFC Original Recipe Flavor Mac ‘n Cheese. It’s not every day when you can try out KFC’s patented blend of 11 secret herbs and spices on other food. I’m curious how it would taste like on Mac & Cheese.
