On Monday (August 19, 2024), Carvel is offering a variety of promotions. First off, they are offering a small cup of cone of soft serve (any flavor) for only 90 cents. This promotion is also in line with Carvel’s 90th birthday this summer. Only one person should be able to avail of the soft serve promo. You can also opt to add toppings for an extra cost.
Second, if you’re a new eater on DoorDash, UberEats, or Grubhub, then you’re lucky, as Carvel is offering you a $0 delivery fee with a purchase of any of their soft serve flavors from August 19 to 25, 2024. Nostalgia Hits At Carvel
Last May, Carvel celebrated their 90th birthday along with their successful 90 years in the ice cream dessert industry. They even brought back a flavor from 50 years ago called Orange Dreamy Creamy last April. Some of you may remember this flavor from your childhood or teenage days as the last time you enjoyed this was in 1972; that was 50 years ago!
Funny as it seems, we may remember Carvel’s founder, Tom Carvel, who once owned an ice cream truck and got a flat tire in the middle of the road. He decided to sell his ice cream, slightly melted, and to his surprise, people preferred them that way. That’s the story of the Carvel treats we enjoy today.
To celebrate their 90 years in the industry, they debuted the Birthday Cake ice cream flavor, which is just fitting for their birthday theme. It has a cake-flavored treat with rainbow sprinkles resembling a confetti cake.

I actually prefer soft serve over ice cream since I like how soft serve melts easily in my mouth. It’s a good thing that Carvel is celebrating National Soft Serve Day with us soft serve lovers! I also appreciate Carvel serving nostalgia like their Orange Dreamy Creamy, which was last served in 1972. How cool is that? It amazes me how Carvel played a huge role in the soft serve business with their “no air pump” super low-temperature ice cream. Truly, Carvel deserves that 90th-year mark.
