McDonald’s
McDonald’s debuted their beverage spin-off CosMc’s in December 2023, immediately attracting crowds. The fast food chain found a big opportunity in the beverage market, estimated to be worth $100 billion. Also, the power of Gen Z is no joke, as they made nearly 5 billion restaurant visits between August 2021 and July 2022, with most of them being quick-service restaurants.
What does it mean for both McDonald’s and CosMc’s? The company will soon test Cos-Mc’s drinks in regular McDonald’s locations. This might not surprise you if you’re from Texas or Illinois, since McDonald’s launched a test of CosMc’s spinoff drinks in their McDonald’s stores. Through that, they’ve learned two things: Customers love customization of pre-designed beverages and always prefer to have food, even if they’re only offering drinks.
While this is still a work in progress, this is a step towards more drinks available at McDonald’s. Check out the drinks that might make it into your local McDonald’s stores:
- Popping Pear Slush – This sweet drink features a prickly pear-flavored slush with whipped cream and popping candy.
- Sprite Moonsplash – A sparkling Sprite base with citrus and sweet vanilla flavors. It is served together with dried blueberries and a lemon wheel over ice.
- Tropical Spiceade – Features a bright, tart lemonade drink mixed with pineapple flavoring and dried dragonfruit.
- Blueberry Ginger Boost – This vitamin-C boosted blueberry drink features a blend of ginger-flavored green tea served with dried blueberries and a lemon wheel.
- Iced Churro Latte – A freshly brewed espresso that is paired with flavors from a churro. Like the famous dessert, it’s drizzled with cinnamon sauce.
- Iced French Toast Galaxy Latte – A base of freshly brewed espresso that is blended with oat milk and sweet maple flavor. This drink is also drizzled with cinnamon sauce.
- Churro Cold Brew Frappe – Features a sweetened cold brew blend finished with whipped cream and drizzled with cinnamon sauce.
- Chai Frappe Burst – This drink features a blended Chai Frappe over sweet popping boba. It is finished off with whipped cream and cinnamon-flavored drizzle.

Papa John’s
Calling all Papa John’s fans, there’s a new beverage to match your pizza! The chain is no stranger to innovation; now, they’re pushing boundaries with a spicy drink! They partnered up with Mountain Dew for a unique drink experience. Introducing the new Mountain Dew ‘Cini Dirty Soda that combines the citrus flavor of Mountain Dew with Papa John’s pepperoncini taste. That’s one unique flavor you’ve never had before!
All Papa Rewards members can enter to get the new Cini Dirty Soda kit via papajohnscinisoda.com starting today (May 14, 2025). The kit contains an insulated bag with the ingredients you’ll need for the spicy delights.
This unique collaboration is part of Papa John’s efforts to reconnect with their customers and boost their sales. Under CEO Todd Penegor, the brand will focus on using their customer data effectively with the help of Customer Relationship Management Tools. With this, Papa John’s has made updates to their official app and is currently testing to personalize their data and target offers for users. The brand’s aim is to use data to better reach their goals.
That’s not the only Mountain Dew drink that we have for the summer. At the start of this month, Mountain Dew collaborated with Little Caesars for the new Mango Rush drink. It features a tropical blend of citrus and a kick of mango for the perfect Little Caesars pizza pairing. They’re available in a 16-ounce can for a limited time.
White Rhino Coffee
Welcome the warmer season with White Rhino Coffee’s summer drink menu and the introduction of their White Rhino Chargers. They’re the brand’s new line of energy drinks that are permanently available on the menu starting today (May 14, 2025).
The summer menu features three limited-time beverages that are made to capture summer’s bright flavors. You can choose the Strawberry Pistachio Matcha, which features a fusion of strawberry and pistachio blended with matcha. There’s also the Strawberry Pistachio Latte, which is a creamy twist on your favorite latte featuring a strawberry and pistachio blend. Lastly, there’s the Pineapple Yuzu Match, which is a tropical take on matcha with a pineapple flavor.
In addition to White Rhino’s seasonal drinks, they’re also adding the new White Rhino Chargers permanently. These drinks are crafted with Monin Brillance Energy as they’re a better alternative to drinks with less sugar. Each of the drinks contains 120 mg of natural caffeine that is sourced from Coffeeberry Energy, extracts from green tea, L-theanine, vitamin B12, and gurana. They provide the energy drink boost without the heavy sugar that is associated with energy drinks.
The lineup of the new White Rhino Chargers is first, The Avalanche, which is a blend of almond, white chocolate, and vanilla. There’s also the Matcha My Energy, which combines the flavors of starfruit yellow flavor with matcha float. But if you want a more berry-flavored energy sip, then get the True Blue. Available from the lineup is also The O.J., which is an energetic mix of orange juice, strawberry, and passionfruit. Lastly, the Yellow There is features the flavors and crisp taste of starfruit yellow. The good news is that these drinks are available all year round!

It amazes me that two pizza chains, Papa John’s and Little Caesars, are collaborating on a summer drink with the refreshing Mountain Dew. Honestly, I couldn’t even think of a drink that would best pair with pizza. And of course, I took notice of White Rhino Coffee’s White Rhino Chargers. I’m at the age where I need my caffeine from coffee and energy drinks to start a heavy day. However, I often worry about the sugar content of my energy drinks. I would definitely try these Chargers at my nearest White Rhino!
