Culver’s new chicken sandwiches are here to impress.
Chicken fans, this one’s for you! And for those who aren’t a fan before, well, you might just become one now. That’s because Culver’s is leveling up their chicken sandwich game. The chain didn’t just make tweaks, they gave their chicken sandwiches a full-blown makeover. This upgrade is anything but basic!

Culver’s is looking to stand out in the crowd, where competitors like Popeyes and McDonald’s keep refreshing their chicken offerings. The result? Chicken sandwiches that are juicier, crispier, and packed with flavor from the first bite. Starting June 16, 2025, the Wisconsin-based chain will be offering its revamped chicken sandwich lineup, featuring an improved chicken filet, tomato, crisp lettuce, crunchier pickles, plus an all-new toasted brioche bun.
According to Culver’s, they went through a multi-year development process, as they took note of the fan feedback and conducted extensive research. These allowed Culver’s culinary team to perfect the Crispy Chicken, Grilled Chicken, and Spicy Crispy Chicken.
To celebrate the arrival of the revamped chicken sandwiches, Culver’s will be offering a complimentary chicken sandwich to the first 100 customers at each of Culver’s over 1,000 locations. This offer is available on June 16, and customers can choose from Crispy, Grilled, and Spicy Crispy. You can get yours whether you’re dining in or ordering for take out or via drive thru.
More Crave-Worthy Items at Culver’s

Last April, Culver’s teamed up with Skittles for the first time ever to introduce the new Skittles POP’D beverages. Yup, the light, crispy take on the classic Skittles can now be enjoyed with the chain’s signature Concrete Mixers. Or, if you want an extra burst of fruit flavor, you can choose to swirl Skittles POP’D into frozen Lemon Ice Coolers.
Here’s a closer look at the Skittles POP’D beverages from Culver’s:
- Skittles POP’D Concrete Mixer – This is an indulgent blend of creamy vanilla Fresh Frozen Custard and the fruity crunch of Skittles POP’D.
- Skittles POP’D Lemon Ice Cooler – Enjoy slow-frozen real lemonade, mixed with the fruity crunch of Skittles POP’D.
Both options are available in small, medium, and large sizes, with a starting price of $3.59 (may vary by location). As per the initial announcement, the Skittles POP’D beverages will be available for a limited time only, through June 15 or while supplies last.
In addition to these candy-infused offerings, Culver’s also brought back the well-loved Lemon Ice Smoothies. You can also find the Strawberry Fields Salad on the menu, which features a crisp lettuce blend, mixed with grilled chicken, fresh strawberries, grape tomatoes, lightly salted pecans, and bleu cheese crumbles. These returning items will be around through September 28 or while supplies last.

What’s Happening in the Fast Food Chicken Arena?

In case you missed it, the chicken wrap wars have begun! Top fast food chains are diving into the handheld wrap battle, bringing back snackable chicken offerings wrapped in tortilla. Sounds familiar? You may be remembering McDonald’s Snack Wrap that was last seen in 2016 and slated to come back this July. But that’s not all you’re getting. Popeyes and Taco Bell are also battling it out with their own chicken wrap offerings. Here’s the current wrap war breakdown:
Popeyes’ Chicken Wraps
Popeyes kicked off the wrap wars in early June when it launched the Chicken Wraps that carry the legendary Louisiana flavor with a whole new twist. They’re everything you love about Popeyes, wrapped and made to move with you. The Chicken Wraps are available in three flavors—Classic, Spicy, and Honey Mustard. Each one comes with hand-breaded and battered chicken tender, shredded cheese, crisp lettuce, and crunchy pickles. All the ingredients are tucked into a warm, soft tortilla inspired by the brand’s famous biscuits.
McDonald’s Snack Wrap
Popeyes may be the bold and early, but McDonald’s continues to stir buzz and excitement among fast food fans. The Golden Arches already confirmed that the return of the iconic Snack Wrap is happening on July 10, and it’s coming back in two flavors: spicy and ranch.
According to the fast food giant, Spicy Snack Wrap will be “bold, zesty, and unapologetically fiery.” Meanwhile, the Ranch Snack Wrap will have a cool ranch flavor profile with hints of onion and garlic. Both wraps will be available à la carte and as part of a combo meal. The combo meal includes two wraps, medium fries, and a soft drink.
Taco Bell’s Crispy Chicken Taco
Not to be outdone, Taco Bell also unveiled a new lineup of chicken offerings. There are actually three new chicken items on the menu: Crispy Chicken Strips, Crispy Chicken Burrito, and Crispy Chicken Taco (its version of Snack Wrap). Both the taco and burrito feature the Crispy Chicken Strips, which are marinated in jalapeño buttermilk flavor, coated in tortilla chip breadcrumbs, and fried to crispy perfection.
The Crispy Chicken Taco also includes lettuce, pico de gallo, purple cabbage, and Cheddar cheese, served on a tortilla with your choice of Avocado Ranch or Spicy Ranchero sauce. Meanwhile, the burrito is double the size of the taco, featuring two Crispy Chicken Strips and all the other fixings tucked into a full-sized tortilla.
More Chicken Offerings to Check Out

Of course, not everyone is jumping into the wrap wars. Others are sticking to their own innovations like Chick-fil-A. The brand is currently testing new sandwiches, Jalapeño Ranch Club Chicken Sandwich and Creamy BBQ Chicken Sandwich, in select locations. Who knows? These sandwiches might expand nationally later. KFC is also offering new chicken meals through its returning Fill Ups. These are $7 meal deals that showcase the brand’s world-famous chicken and other fan-favorite sides.
