2025 is a year for you to take on that big opportunity, but while you’re at it, you can also get these big fast-food menu items that are coming soon.
The year is just about to start, but your favorite fast food stops, McDonald’s and Subway, are bringing in big food items that will be rolling out on the menu. Truly, this is another year for these major fast-food brands to release new food items that fans will love. Who knows? They might create a new snack that will be a blueprint for other fast-food chains as well. 🤩 If you’re looking for new meals to consume (may it be sweet or savory), then read along!
McDonald’s
As the internet says it, it’s another year, another slay for McDonald’s, as they’re currently testing a new burger that could rival the chain’s very own Big Mac. It’s none other than the Big Arch — carrying the name of the chain’s iconic bright yellow “M” symbol or the Golden Arch. If their new burger is named after their symbol, then we’re sure to expect bigger things, right? Well, the Big Arch didn’t come to disappoint as they’re really huge.

The Big Arch is currently being tested in three markets, Canada and Portugal being the two. Sadly, they’re not being tested at any markets in the US, but who knows, they might make a surprise appearance later this year since it’s something that could be as iconic as the Big Mac. Also, according to food blogger @Snackolator, the plan is to see how well the burger is received in those three countries before it might roll out to the US and other countries as well. Just stick around for the news of its potential US release.
Now, why is the Big Arch a huge thing for McDonald’s? Well, aside from it being as iconic as the Big Mac, it features a huge size that’s oozing with filling. It contains two beef patties, three white cheddar cheese, lettuce, and pickles. Aside from that, like the Big Mac, the Big Arch has a special sauce that’s described as “tangy” that will compliment the fresh and crispy onion filling in a brioche bun.
For the million-dollar question, is it better than the Big Mac? Well, it’s for you to find out by taking a big bite. 😉
Care For Some Snack Wraps?
In case you’re forgetting it, McDonald’s is bringing us the Snack Wraps this 2025. Yup, this was the casual drop of the brand on X with a post saying, “Snack wraps xx.xx.2025.” While the date hasn’t been confirmed, this is the perfect time to add this menu item to your McDonald’s waiting list, along with the Big Arch.
Now, why are the Snack Wraps worth waiting for? Wrapped in warm tortilla flour is a stuffed filling of chicken breast, lettuce, and shredded cheddar cheese. You also get a tangy ranch sauce, which is the perfect sauce flavor made for the Snack Wraps.
What makes the Snack Wraps even more special is the nostalgia that it brings. You might remember them first released between 2013 and 2014 when they became popular among fans. It pretty much has the same filling of chicken, cheese, and mixed veggies. However, they were discontinued in most US locations by 2016, while some continued to serve them until 2020. The reason behind the chain pulling them out is that it causes too much trouble in the kitchen. They reportedly took too long to make, which doubled the amount of time they spent serving each of their customers.
Now, McDonald’s USA is joining Canada and the UK by having Snack Wraps on the menu real soon. Did you know that in both locations, McDonald’s improved its lineup by having other Snack Wraps variations? They have flavors such as Sweet Chili, Zesty Lime, Chicken & Bacon, Ranch Chicken, and Spicy Buffalo Chicken.

Subway
You may have heard or read about Subway possibly releasing Footlong Nachos to join their variations of footlong sandwiches on the menu. You might probably imagine them as chips with meat and cheese and some special sauce on top. Well, for starters, it’s true that new footlong sandwiches are coming at Subway, and the Footlong Nachos are definitely included.
Since January 2024, Subway has offered footlong sandwich flavors under the “Sidekick” menu option. Snacks such as Cinnabon Churros, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, and Chocolate Chip Cookies have long been Subway’s Sidekicks, and they’re made even better this 2025. If you can recall, the chain also added sub-options last summer, like Spicy Nacho Chicken, including new optional upgrades like Ghost Pepper Bread, Cheddar Cheese Sauce, and meat and cheese-filled Dippers.
As early as January (likely mid-late January), Subway will offer Oreo Footlong. It features a chocolate cookie that’s shaped like a footlong. It has a cream filling that is topped with some Oreo cookies.

But hey, that’s not all, as the Doritos Footlong Nachos is also dropping at Subway, fulfilling the news about a nacho drop. Now, what makes the Doritos Footlong Sandwich worth the wait? It has a base of Nacho Cheese Doritos topped with melted cheese, jalepeños, tomatoes, black olives, and more. They’re currently being tested at select locations with a tentative spring season release.

From The Club
While I’m trying to burn the holiday feast that’s been stuck in my body by hitting the gym, I can’t resist having little snacks here and there. Yes, I’m welcoming the positive energy that I’m feeling, but I will also welcome the potential stress I’d have to go through once again. Thankfully, McDonald’s and Subway have joined forces to keep me covered. I bet some Snack Wraps and Doritos Footlong Nachos would be the perfect cure for the dread I’ll possibly feel. Still, cheers to a great year ahead!
