Limited-time releases can either be the best thing that a fast food restaurant could ever have or an epic fail that they shouldn’t bring back to the menu. But that’s the thing about limited-time ones; it’s a test item to see if they’re popular enough to be regular. However, some are just seasonal specials since they contain ingredients that are available for a certain season only.
The “ber” months are no stranger to limited-time releases since we’re seeing Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day on the radar. More and more chains release their winter menu items or bring back individual items from the past that are well-loved by many of their fans. This time, Burger King, Taco John, and Jack in the Box are the ones bringing us limited-time releases that are worth trying. If you’re up for some good sandwiches or sweet desserts, read on.
Burger King
Burger King is known for their huge burger and onion rings that pair well with their sundae. Yup, they’ve had sundaes reigning in their dessert menu for years now, often collaborating with sweet dessert/snack brands for toppers. But if you’ve been a fan of Burger King for the longest time, you may remember those mini cinnamon buns they served back in the 90s. They’re called Cini Minis, and they were last seen on the Burger King menu 12 years ago.
If you guessed that they’re bringing them back, then you’re right! The Cini Minis are back at Burger King for a limited time only. They’re available to get in a 4-pack for just $2.49. The Cini Minis is made from cinnamon sugar and served with a sweet icing for dipping. What’s great is that you can enoy the Cini Minis any time of the day from breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

As much as we’re all excited for the comeback of this iconic dessert, they’re only currently being served at Miami and Fort Lauder in Florida. If you live in the area or somewhere nearby, then don’t miss the chance and be one of the lucky few fans to try the Cini Minis.
Jack in the Box
If you can’t get enough over the different sandwich releases lately, then you’re in for a treat here at Jack in the Box. There’s a new sandwich in town that you should definitely add to your must-try list, which is a classic twist on Jack in the Box’s fan-favorite menu item. Introducing the new sourdough sandwich selection: Sourdough Smashed Jack and Bacon Double Sourdough Smashed Jack is available at participating Jack in the Box locations nationwide.
If you like your sandwich classic, then the Sourdough Smashed Jack is the perfect sandwich for you. It consists of a quarter-pounder of smashed beef topped with melty American cheese. Along are your trusty fillings such as pickles, grilled onions, and Jack’s signature Boss Sauce that is served on toasted sourdough bread.
But if you like a little packed meat action, then you can choose to get the Bacon Double Sourdough Smashed Jack. Same with the former, this meat sandwich features a quarter-pounder smashed beef that is made with 100 percent seasoned beef. Other fillings include a combination of melty American cheese and hickory smoked bacon for the smokey taste. It also includes pickles and grilled onions, all smothered with Jack’s Boss Sauce and sandwiched in toasted sourdough bread.

The Sourdough Smashed Jack is under the suggested price of $7.99, while the Bacon Double Sourdough Smashed Jack is at $9.99. If you opt to get the meal, then you can choose the combo option served with fries and a drink that starts at a price of $11.99. If you’re looking for an on-the-go meal, then you can drive over to participating Jack in the Box locations and be first in line to grab a bite.

Taco John’s
Are you craving for a good Mexican food? Then head over to your nearest Taco John’s, as they’ve recently brought back three seasonal menu items that went big on flavor: Queso, Apple Grande, and Nachos Navidad. If your mouth isn’t watering just by reading this, I don’t know what will. 🤣

Taco John’s is having their Ultimate Queso Takeover as they’re bringing back the Queso that is available as a side or add-on to any Taco John’s menu item. It pairs best with a crispy tortilla chip or any fried in-house dishes. So, if the cheese-obsessed fans are craving once again for cheese, start by adding this menu item to any of your Taco John’s orders.
Can’t get enough of the Ultimate Queso Takeover? We’re not done yet, as Taco John’s is releasing more cheese goodness on their limited-time menu. They’re created to warm your stomach as they roll out the following:
- Cheesy Queso Boss Burrito
- Queso Fried ChickenTacos
- Queso Nachos Natividad
Still, make sure you leave some room for dessert with their Apple Grande — a returning favorite. It features a warm cinnamon-sugar tortilla round and is topped with apple filling and cinnamon candy spice. On its top, it has an all-natural cheddar cheese topping to balance out the sweet taste of the Apple Grande.
What is the Mexican food experience without your nachos, right? Of course, Taco John’s is unveiling Nachos Natividad to serve as their holiday centerpiece. The sales from the Nachos Natividad will be donated to causes within the local communities. The brand has already raised a million dollars in almost three decades of donating proceeds.
Now, what do Nachos Natividad offer? It offers your choice of nacho cheese or queso to fill the entire plate. This appetizer also features seasonal red, green, and yellow chips that are topped with seasoned 100% North American beef. It also has refried beans, an all-natural cheddar cheese, and your nachos usuals like tomatoes, guacamole, and sour cream.
You can enjoy these limited-time items all season long, so I guess that’s plenty of time to enjoy them while they’re still here. Additionally, Taco John’s is offering the gift of craveable offerings through the Taco John’s gift card. Through the end of the year, guests who will be purchasing the $25 gift card will get a $5 redeemable bonus card from January 1 – February 28, 2025.
Bigger Bolder Rewards Members can also watch out for the Thankful Thursdays and 12 Days of Deals, which include freebies and discounts on the chain’s most popular items. Members can only access them at the official Taco John’s app.
