That’s right! The Big Biscuit, Whataburger, and White Castle are joining the list of chains offering new releases this 2025. The exciting part? There are also some returning menu items that fans grew to love! Watch out for the following new and returning flavors to try. Who knows? You might get a new comfort food that will be one of the highlights of your year.
The Big Biscuit
One of your New Year’s resolutions is definitely to live a healthier life, but how do you do that, especially if it’s easier said than done? Perhaps you could start by putting nutritious food in your body. It’s a plus factor if the food is also tasty! The Big Biscuit has heard your wishes, and they’re coming in with a menu of their nutritious selection to help you achieve your goal of a much healthier lifestyle in 2025.
Choose among these menu items to help you get started with your goal:
- Cranberry Pecan Oatmeal (544 calories) – Served with some fresh fruits and your choice of buttermilk biscuit or toast.
- New Orleans Oatmeal (795 calories) – This oatmeal is filled with banana, pecans, and housemade cinnamon filling that is served with fresh fruit and your choice of buttermilk biscuit or toast.
- Workout Scramble (296 calories) – This scramble is made out of egg whites that are scrambled with spinach and cremini mushrooms. This dish is served with fresh fruit and your choice of buttermilk biscuits or toast.
- Lean & Green (357 calories) – It features egg whites that are scrambled with oven-roasted turkey, spinach, and cremini mushrooms. This protein dish is served with fresh fruit and buttermilk biscuit or toast.
- Lo Carb (591 calories) – It features three hand-cracked eggs that are scrambled with smoked ham, spinach, cremini mushrooms, and onions. This Lo Carb dish is served with some sliced tomatoes and fresh fruit.
Who says you can’t enjoy a little sweet treat while trying to stay on track? These menu items are part of The Big Biscuit’s Big and Healthy selection, which features different menu items that will bring you both tasty and healthy treats.

Whataburger
Did you know that 2025 is the year that your favorite burger joint, Whataburger, will turn 75? Yup, it was in 1950 when Harmon Dobson first flipped the five-inch Whataburger in Corpus Christi. Fast forward to 75 years later, they’re throwing their first anniversary bash, with the mood being pure nostalgia. With that, Whataburger has brought back some of its legendary food items.
On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, Whataburger will kick off their 75-year celebration. Many customers have begged for some of the iconic menu items to return. Let’s check them out.
- Monterey Melt – This was last seen in 2022, so it’s a surprise that we’re having their own “should I buy it” moment now that they’re coming back. It features 100% beef patties with melty Monterey Jack. It is topped with grilled onions and peppers as it’s finished off with the chain’s signature Jalapeño Ranch sauce.
- Chicken Fajita Taco – Features chicken breast that is grilled to perfection, plus a soft flour tortilla complete with seared onions, poblanos, and red peppers in every bite.
- Mexican Hot Chocolate Coffee – Choose from iced or hot.

- 75 Stories for 75 Years – After launching their new digital home, Whataburger ended up with a goal to share stories from longtime Whataburger fans.
- $19.50 Discount – Starting this January, Whatastore will be offering monthly deals that are priced at $19.50. It’s a deal made for the celebration of Whataburger’s 75 years in the industry.
- Wrangler x Whataburger – Mark your calendars as this spring, we welcome the collaboration with Wrangler to upgrade your daily fit. This 24-piece collection features denim jackets, jeans, graphic tees, and ballcaps.

While we’re out celebrating Whataburger’s anniversary with these amazing deals, the burger chain has started a new era with new leadership taking over. Just this January 1, 2024, Debbie Stroud officially took over a new role as president and CEO of Whataburger. White Castle
Gather up breakfast lovers as the home of the real all-day breakfast menu, White Castle is offering a returning menu to take your taste buds to a familiar taste. That’s right; they’re bringing back the fan-favorite French Toast Slider for a limited time only. Like any other breakfast option on their menu, White Castle offers this slider from morning, afternoon, and even nighttime.
Now, what makes the French Toast Slider special? It is about the same size as a Cinnamon Swirl and layered with a freshly cracked egg, American cheese, and your choice of savory sausage or hickory smoked bacon. The bread is made with some flavor notes of cinnamon, vanilla, and butter.
Jamie Richardson, Vice President of White Castle, said that the slider is a classic breakfast item that can be enjoyed at any time of the day. Richardson shared that the combination of sweet and savory was an instant hit when they first introduced the French Toast Sliders back in 2023, and they’re excited to share them once again in 2025 by giving people what they crave.
You can get the French Toast Slider now through April 20, 2025, or until supplies last. Many have been tuning in for White Castle’s breakfast offerings for decades to enjoy their fresh cracked eggs, soft buns, bacon and sausages, classic bread toasts, Belgian waffles, and, of course, their nice and hot cup of coffee.
You can also be a member of the chain’s Craver Nation Rewards, a free-to-join loyalty program that brings in perks, and points, and rewards exclusively for members. Right now, there’s a free $5 Sloppy Joe Combo Upgrade, which includes a small Mac & Cheese Nibblers (instead of a small fry) and a medium soft drink (instead of a small-sized one).

While I’ll gladly order them all, I’m very excited about the French Toast Slider as someone who’s not a breakfast person. It’s an on-the-go snack that is perfect for my busy schedule or just a fast, fill-me-up snack when I’m doing my all-nighters. I could just imagine enjoying these toasty treats with a hot coffee on the side. 😋
