- The story behind Pizza Hut’s name isn’t very complicated. The sign outside the original building only had room for eight letters, so the founding brothers simply created a title that fit.
- Pizza Hut uses 300 million pounds of cheese each year. That’s about 3% of all the cheese produced in the United States.
- In 1989, former First Lady Barbara Bush ordered the first Pizza Hut delivery to the White House in Washington, DC. She was hosting 200 children at a charity event and needed refreshments.
- Pizza Hut once delivered a pizza to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Pizza Hut made a delivery to the International Space Station in 2001. It cost around $1,000,000.

What You’ll Need:
- Powerade– Blue Powerade gives this drink its perfect ocean blue color. While you could substitute another blue sports drink, the taste may vary slightly.
- Mountain Dew- You can’t make a Mountain Dew based beverage without the soda.
- Lemon lime soda– Use your favorite be it Sprite, 7up or another kind.
How to Make the Drink:
- Just fill two 8 ounce glasses halfway with ice.
- Then add 3 ounces of Powerade, 3 ounces of Mountain Dew and 2 ounces of lemon lime soda to each glass.
- Stir to combine and enjoy!Bonus:
- Taste the drink and adjust the ratio of Mountain Dew to the blue sports drink to achieve your desired flavor and color. If it’s not blue enough, add more Powerade; if you want it less sweet, add more Mountain Dew.
- If you are feeling fancy, you can garnish with sliced lemons and limes!
