While the pain can be uncomfortable, relief is just a few simple remedies away. Here are 10 effective ways to heal a burning tongue that can help soothe the pain.

Feeling that burning sensation in your mouth? There’s nothing that a sweet Honey can’t fix. It’s a natural antibacterial with a thick and soothing consistency that coats the tongue as it reduces discomfort. Take a spoonful of raw honey and let it sit on your tongue for a minute before swallowing. You can also add it with warm tea.

The good, old salt water rinse is a natural disinfectant that can help with soothing and promote healing. Mix half a teaspoon of salt in a warm cup of water and keep it in your mouth for at least 30 seconds before spitting.
