Taco Bell, a popular fast-food chain, is offering some terrific deals this weekend, just in time for a couple of food-filled celebrations. First up is the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, where many enjoy pimento cheese and mint juleps to get into the festive spirit. Plus, May the Fourth is upon us, also known as Star Wars Day. This might be the perfect occasion for a Star Wars-themed party with unique treats. The celebrations continue into Sunday with Cinco de Mayo, where Mexican-inspired recipes are the highlight.
With all the festivities, Taco Bell has a special deal for those looking to grab a quick and delicious meal: $1 tacos. On May 5th, which is Cinco de Mayo, Taco Bell is offering its Soft or Crunchy Tacos at only $1 each. Using the Taco Bell app, customers can get a set of five tacos for $5, which amounts to just $1 per taco. This special deal is available on May 5th in the app, under “Rewards and Offers” and can only be claimed once, so make sure to check it out.
If you are not already a Taco Bell Rewards member, you may want to consider registering for a free account to enjoy additional perks.
For those who may prefer something other than tacos, Taco Bell is also offering a deal on Nachos BellGrande. From May 3 to 5, if you spend $20 on a DoorDash or GrubHub order, you can get a free order of Nachos BellGrande. Just add your desired items totaling $20, then include an order of Nachos Bell Grande, and it will become free once you hit the $20 total (before tax).
Uber Eats users aren’t left out of the fun. During the same dates, May 3rd through 5th, Taco Bell is offering a Buy One Get One (BOGO) deal on Nachos Grande with no minimum spend required when ordering through Uber Eats.
It looks like a weekend with no cooking and plenty of delicious food is in store!
Taco Bell is also rolling out other promotions, including new menu items and other taco giveaways. Keep an eye out for all the new things Taco Bell has in store, and enjoy the deals while they last.
Crunching Through Time with Taco Bell
Before it became the household name it is today, Taco Bell was started out as a humble little taco shop. The global food sensation all began in 1954 when founder, Glen Bell, opened a taco stand called “Taco-Tia.” He went through several trials and learning experiences before rebranding and opening the first official Taco Bell in 1962 in Downey, California. The brand name comes from Glen’s own last name, Bell, and since then, Taco Bell has been all about bringing Mexican-inspired cuisine to the masses.

Taco Bell has grown immensely since those early days. Over time, it has turned into a major player in the fast-food arena, with thousands of locations around the world. People love the brand for its affordable prices, its convenient meals, and the bold flavors they’ve come to expect from the menu. Let’s “taco” about how this food chain left its mark and changed the game!

From The Club
Taco Bell is just awesome. Apart from giving us the best and most affordable Mexican fast food known to man, they also love giving away huge deals for special occasions. Now I’m not going to the Kentucky Derby nor will I be celebrating Cinco de Mayo. But catch me this Saturday celebrating May the Fourth watching the original Star Wars trilogy with a handful of Taco Bell’s Tacos by my side.
