October Prime Days are here and so are the exclusive offers for Prime and Grubhub+ members.

When online shops weren’t a thing yet, we used to walk for hours, shopping and dining, in our favorite shopping malls. Today, the retail experience will never be the same. But here’s the good news: it’s changing for the better. In fact, if you’re an Amazon Prime member, you will soon enjoy mega bargains and cop up lots of savings. And speaking of savings, you can also get them when you order your favorite food items on Grubhub while sorting your online orders. Yup, this is the shop-and-dine experience made more convenient and affordable!

Grubhub Prime Deal
Amazon and Grubhub’s Prime Day deal

Apart from the hundreds of deals already up for grabs, Amazon just dropped another exclusive offer ahead of the Prime Big Deal Days happening from October 8 to 9, 2024. This time, the offer lets you indulge in your favorite food through Grubhub+. Amazon announced that Prime and Grubhub+ members can enjoy a 50% discount on their Grubhub order amounting over $20. To avail of this offer, use the code “PRIME50” when you checkout via the Amazon Shopping app or Grubhub on Amazon.com. The offer can also be redeemed via the Grubhub app.

According to Amazon, the offer is only valid during Prime Big Deal Days and the maximum discount value is $15 (terms and conditions apply). If you aren’t a Prime member yet, this is your sign to register by visiting https://www.amazon.com/prime/offer/embedded/grubhub/prime-deal.

In May 2024, Amazon announced that it has permanently added a free Grubhub+ subscription to Prime membership inclusions. This allowed members to save $120 per year on the food service subscription and access other value-based offers like reduced service fees and unlimited $0 delivery fees.

Amazon x Grubhub Partnership Through the Years

Amazon and Grubhub are two brands that truly care about affordability and that reflects in the deals they’ve offered in the past years. Although the free Grubhub+ membership for Prime members is a fairly new offering, these two brands have been working together for some time now to help customers access more epic savings. Here’s how the Amazon x Grubhub partnership evolved in the last few years:

2022

Amazon and Grubhub have reportedly been collaborating as early as 2018, but it was in 2022 when the latter became more visible to Amazon’s ever-growing customer base. Amazon even expressed interest in acquiring Grubhub, but that didn’t push through as the acquisition was made by Just Eat Takeaway in 2020.

Two years later, in the second half of 2022, Amazon offered a free one-year Grubhub+ membership to its Prime members. Without any additional monthly charge, Prime members enjoyed zero delivery fees for Grubhub orders worth more than $12. It was the start of the brands’ collaborative journey in promoting unparalleled convenience.

2024 and Beyond

It seems like the idea of getting everything from Amazon, including your favorite food, can take convenience to the next level. That’s why, Amazon and Grubhub continued on with their partnership. The former announced that the free Grubhub+ membership will be ongoing and Prime members can now order Grubhub directly on the Amazon Shopping app and Amazon.com. Imagine not needing to open another app to place your food order while having access to hundreds of thousands of restaurants. How convenient is that?

Remember, as long as you remain a Prime member, you can save $120 a year with a free Grubhub+ membership. It gets even better when you maximize other deals included, such as $0 delivery fees on eligible orders and 5% credit back on pick-up orders.

Restaurant Brands on Grubhub

Grubhub takes pride in their network of over 360,000 restaurant partners located in more than 4,000 US cities. What does this mean for you or for all Prime members? It means more food options! No matter what your cravings are, you’re sure to find a restaurant on Grubhub that delivers satisfying meals. Here are some of the brands you might encounter on the Grubhub app or depending on your location:

Starbucks x Grubhub
Starbucks is now a national brand partner of Grubhub
  • Starbucks: The world-famous cafe company is among the newest partners of Grubhub. The two officially announced their partnership this year, targeting a nationwide rollout of Starbucks Delivery with Grubhub in August 2024. Having Starbucks onboard is perfect for Amazon Prime shoppers staying up late to score deals and discounts. Get a caffeine boost from your favorite cup of coffee or frappe. Or better yet, try Starbucks’ seasonal offerings, including the fall-themed drinks.
  • McDonald’s: This fast food giant has been a brand partner of Grubhub since 2019. McDonald’s sought the Grubhub service to expand McDelivery to roughly 500 restaurants in New York City and Tri-State Area. Similar to Starbucks, McDonald’s has a fall menu lineup, featuring the crowd-favorite Pumpkin Spiced Iced Coffee. Also, don’t miss your chance to try the all-new Chicken Big Mac that everyone has been talking about!
  • Chipotle Mexican Grill: Chipotle added Grubhub as its delivery partner back in 2020 when it saw a pandemic-driven jump in digital sales. To further enhance customer experience, Chipotle also released tamper-proof packaging and revamped its ordering site to allow meal customization and online payments for catering. Also, in case you missed it, Chipotle’s famous smoked brisket is back after being gone for three years. It’s here for a limited time only so grab (or should we say Grub?) the chance to add this meaty goodness to your burrito bowl!
