It’s a playful twist on a childhood favorite, so get ready for pure nostalgia!
Remember those little frosted cookies from your lunchbox? Well, Handel’s Ice Cream sure does, and for their 80th anniversary, you’re invited to celebrate with a new ice cream flavor in one hand. Hint: it’s bursting with vanilla goodness and cookie crunch! This limited-time flavor brings serious birthday party energy in every scoop, so don’t miss out!

Push the birthday candles aside, but maybe get a spoon, because Handel’s Ice Cream is turning 80 and they’re celebrating in the most delicious way possible. The brand announced a new limited-time flavor, which is a throwback to a childhood favorite. Say hello to Frosted Animal Cookie ice cream! Handel’s added their own playful twist to the iconic sweet treat to make sure you’re getting a party in a cone.
The new Frosted Animal Cookie features a cake-flavored ice cream, with frosted animal cookies mixed in and a vanilla frosting ripple. It’s vibrant, crave-worthy, and dreamed up by Joseph Ogden, a California franchisee. Ogden was inspired by the memories of eating frosted cookies from his grandma and going on zoo field trips. The Frosted Animal Cookie ice cream has been crafted to evoke a perfect blend of summer fun and nostalgia, and as per Handel’s, to celebrate creativity and community through flavor.
The new Frosted Animal Cookie will be available at participating locations starting June 3, for a limited time only or while supplies last.
More Sweet Treats from Handel’s Ice Cream

Since we’re still officially in the spring season, it’s worth noting that Handel’s has another limited-time ice cream flavor that’s ripe for the picking. On the menu, you should (still) find the Raspberry Dream Cream, which features raspberry sherbet, combined with the brand’s signature vanilla ice cream. This treat was created by west coast franchisee Keith Kesler, and is available until supplies last.
The Raspberry Dream Cream actually marks the second new flavor release of Handel’s Ice Cream this 2025. Earlier this year, the brand also launched Sticky Fingers, which is another franchisee-developed treat. This flavor combines peanut butter ice cream with brownie pieces, a caramel ripple, and chocolate truffles filled with salted caramel. Just describing it makes us want to get our hands all over this treat!
Sticky Fingers is the brainchild of Ohio franchisee Bruce Hill, who brings over 25 years of experience to the Handel’s brand. He and his wife also developed other indulgent flavors like the Vanilla Caramel Truffle, S’Mores, Caramel Apple Ice Cream, and Lemon Meringue Pie. Similar to other flavors on the menu, Sticky Fingers can be enjoyed in any of the brand’s cones, cups or shakes. But for the ultimate ice cream experience, it’s best paired with the chocolate dipped waffle cone.

Talk about summer menu releases, and you’ll almost always hear Starbucks‘ offerings from in-the-know foodies. Some people just can’t stop talking about Starbucks’ new releases, which include the returning Summer-Berry Refreshers. These fruit-forward sips feature berry flavors shaken with lemonade or coconutmilk, and then poured over bursting raspberry-flavored pearls!
Of course, there’s something new around the patio, and it’s called Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. If you haven’t tried this one, expect a blend of Starbucks Blonde Espresso, vanilla and rice-flavored horchata syrup, cinnamon, and a splash of oatmilk for added creaminess. If the signature cold brew is also something that you enjoy, you can top it with either Vanilla Sweet Cream or Salted Caramel Cold Foam, and maybe pair it with the Egg, Pesto, and Mozzarella Sandwich, to get fueled up for warmer days ahead.
