When you think of breakfasts, pancakes usually come to mind, and when it comes to the best place for pancakes, IHOP is the go-to place!
IHOP has been in the pancake game for as long as we can remember, and this is where our parents would always take us back in the day to get our pancake fix. Staying true to their name, IHOP (International House of Pancakes) is leveling up with a unique flavor for the pancake of the month. Plus, we even get a milkshake with the same flavor! How cool is that?
Introducing the IHOP’s drop of Lemon Oreo Pancakes and the Lemon Oreo Milkshake just before summer ends!
The Lemon Oreo Pancake features a vanilla ice cream topper along with lemonade and Lemon Oreo pieces. It is finished off with a generous swirl of whipped cream with even more Lemon Oreo bits and pieces. On the other hand, the Oreo Lemon milkshake features the same ingredients as the pancake — vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and Lemon Oreo cookies.
Both of these refreshing Lemon Oreo goodness will be available in August, so make sure to mark your calendars to try IHOP’s pancake of the month and make the most of your summer.
What Fans Are Saying
Fans were left puzzled over IHOP’s choice of Oreo flavored Lemon to grace their Pancake of the Month offering. Some fans commented why couldn’t IHOP choose Red Velvet flavored Oreor or those Golden ones instead. At the same time, some fans suggested that the treat would be better with some fruits, such as blueberries and raspberries, as toppers. Another commented that the Pancake of the Month for August is a total skip.
On a positive note, some were thrilled, saying that Lemon Oreos are their favorite snack. They were raving, especially about the Lemon Oreo Milkshake, as they could see it as a potential permanent menu on IHOP. The flavor could be weird to many, but let’s not judge a food by its flavor. Like any other Pancake of the Month flavors at IHOP, this Lemon Oreo is worth trying!

A Walk Through IHOP’s Pancake of The Month
As a kid, we’ve all imagined our pancakes smothered in different sweet flavors such as syrup, chocolate, fresh fruits, and whipped cream. IHOP is making our dream come true when they introduced their Pancake of the Month selections back in February 2024. It’s like Crumbl, but make it a monthly pancake version!
Taking a trip back in memory lane, the first flavor that they introduced was February’s Chocolate Strawberry Pancakes, which features four chocolate chip pancakes with cheesecake mousse, strawberries, whipped cream, chocolate chips, and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
To make Pancake of the Month even more exciting, IHOP introduced a new annual loyalty challenge for all International Bank of Pancakes members. The incentives include the following:
- If members order the Pancake of the Month two or more times, they are granted 10 PanCoins for that particular month.
- If members order the Pancake of the Month once each month for the entire year, they are granted 100 bonus PanCoins.
This move is part of IHOP’s strategy for their “largest menu evolution ever,” launched in April 2023. With their continuous menu innovation, they serve flavored pancakes that fit everyone’s preferences. Whether you’re a classic pancake fan, a chocolate heaven fan, or a fruity fan, there’s something in store for you.

From The Club
To be honest, IHOP’s Lemon Oreo Pancake is a bit unusual to me since I like my pancakes to be free from any flavors or syrups. I’m also not a fan of lemon-flavored Oreos to start with. But I guess I can give Lemon Oreo Pancakes a second chance since the lemon blending onto IHOP’s fluffy pancakes sounds like a treat.
