Kit Kat is launching a new Vanilla flavor. Now, that might not sound like the most interesting news you come across today but imagine this: The classic Kit Kat wafers we all know and love, enrobed in luscious vanilla-flavored white creme. Fans of the chocolate bar are already expressing how keen they are to get their hands on it, with one evening using the Futurama “Shut up and take my money!” meme.

The new flavor will be available nationwide in stores that sell Hershey’s products, starting in November. It will be available in both regular and king-size options.
While November is still several months away, the anticipation from Kit Kat and Vanilla lovers alike is already evident. Fans who know all too well that newly released flavors tend to sell out quickly, encourages anyone interested in trying the Vanilla Kit Kat to run to the store as soon as the new flavor hits shelves.
A Quick Look at Kit Kat’s History
Kit Kat is a chocolate bar brand known for its chocolate-covered crispy wafers that usually come in twin packs or in 4s. It was first created and launched in 1935 by Rowntree’s of York in the United Kingdom. The chocolate bar was initially known as “Rowntree’s Chocolate Crisp” before it was renamed “Kit Kat” in 1937. In other parts of the world, the brand is known to be under Nestlé since its acquisition in 1988. In the United States, however, the Kit Kat is part of Hershey’s collection of chocolates and candy bars.
The original thought behind Kit Kat was to provide a snack that a man could easily take to work to have at break time. The handy chocolate bar used to be known as “the biggest little meal in London,” which was also its first tagline. In 1957, that slogan was later changed to something that had a better ring to it — “Have a break, have a Kit Kat.”
Kit Kat is also famously known for that 90s commercial where the foil is being scored open (yes, Kit Kat used to come wrapped in foil), revealing the signature milk chocolate covered wafers that snaps into two chocolate fingers, making for the perfect snack. Today, we have a plethora of flavors that speak to Kit Kat’s commitment to remaining a cherished brand in the quickly-evolving snack industry.

Why Kit Kat’s New Vanilla Flavor is a Must-Try
The word Vanilla, especially when used as an adjective, doesn’t seem like it would make for the most exciting flavor. But for anyone that’s familiar with the complexities of the Vanilla Bean would know that its sweet, floral and creamy notes could very well be an impressive complement to the Kit Kat eating experience. White creme coatings often carry a smooth and delicate taste, couple that with the light crunch of Kit Kat wafers, and it just might bring about the perfect marriage of flavor and texture.
Fans have sounded their anticipation and are stoked about this new flavor announcement, with some even saying that they’d be interested to do a side-by-side taste comparison with previous white chocolate covered Kit Kats.
Kit Kat has made several headlines, mostly around their creative new flavors and limited-edition releases. Just in the last few years, Kit Kat has introduced intriguing flavors such as fruity cereal, gingerbread cookie, blueberry muffin, and more—all of which were well-received by the brand’s loyal fanbase.
From The Club
Isn’t it just silly how Vanilla is such a luxurious ingredient, yet it means “unremarkable” when it’s used to describe something? This new flavor announcement might come as thrilling news to some, but for those who love the sophisticated flavor of Vanilla know that you can never go wrong with it. It’s one of those flavors that actually enhance all other components of a dish, which in turn makes the eating experience all the better—or in this case—sweeter. So, I can see why people are excited. I personally adore anything flavored or infused with Vanilla. So I, myself, am quite excited to taste this new treat from Kit Kat.
