Tidings of comfort and joy! You have new peppermint-flavored desserts to try, plus a savory treat that will change the way you look at chicken salad.
This holiday season is getting better every day, and I think you know why. We’re about to get new menu items, this time, from the iconic names in ice cream, baked goods, and chicken salad. We’ve been releasing roundups on holiday offerings in the last couple of days, but this one right here is a mix of sweet and savory delights that should hit all the right spots!
Carvel

Knowing full well that peppermint is synonymous to holiday season, Carvel is bringing in the ultimate peppermint-flavored treats. To beat the holiday rush, you gotta keep your head cool, and we think there’s no better way to do that than indulging in these desserts:
- Peppermint Hot Chocolate Soft Serve: Carvel puts a festive twist on The Original Soft Serve, blending it with premium milk chocolate and peppermint for that added zing!
- Peppermint Hot Chocolate Flying Saucer: Imagine the Peppermint Hot Chocolate Soft Serve getting sandwiched between two Flying Saucer chocolate wafers. It’s also rolled in chocolate pieces and crushed peppermint to make it more dazzling.
- Peppermint Hot Chocolate Scooped: Scoop the joy of the season with this heavenly combination of semi-sweet fudge, peppermint sprinkles, and chocolate drops.
- Peppermint Hot Chocolate Sundae Dasher: If this treat doesn’t look dashing, I don’t know what is! This winter treat features added layers of chocolate flavor, cool peppermint notes, and whipped topping.
- Peppermint Hot Chocolate Shake: This is basically Carvel’s Peppermint Hot Chocolate Soft Serve in sippable form. The shake won’t let you down with its combination of chocolate and minty flavors.
- Peppermint Hot Chocolate Ice Cream Pop: This velvety pop features Carvel’s Original Soft Serve, coated in Chocolate Bonnet. For added sweetness, it’s finished with sprinkles of crushed peppermint.
Carvel is also known for its ice cream cakes that make every celebration extra sweet. The brand has a range of holiday ice cream cakes to choose from, including the Holiday Carvelog Cake and Christmas Tree Cake that can both serve up to 10 people. Or you can go with the fan-favorite Jolly Cups made with The Original Soft Serve and decorated with holiday-themed frosting.
Chicken Salad Chick

The coziest season of the year calls for that ultimate comfort food combo. The word is that Chicken Salad Chick has exactly that kind of menu offering! The only fast-casual chicken salad concept in the country recently unveiled its new Bacon Cheddar Chick Melt and Kid’s Toasty Cheese. These items will be available for a limited time only until January 4, 2025.

So what exactly is the Bacon Cheddar Chick Melt? It’s like the brand’s Chicken Salad Melt but better. The new menu item features your preferred chicken salad flavor, topped with melty cheddar cheese and crispy bacon. All these go on a perfectly toasted croissant. For the chicken salad, you have 12 delicious flavors to choose from, including Barbie-Q, Buffalo Barclay, Fruity Fran, Jalapeno Holly, and so much more! Meanwhile, for the kids, there’s the Toasty Cheese made with warm, buttery toast and fresh cheddar cheese. It’s the perfect little treat to let them explore classic fall flavors.
Cinnabon

Each time I pass by a Cinnabon store, I try so hard not to get their classic roll. And every time, I fail. If you’re like me, you’re gonna love the new treats from this bakery restaurant: Peppermint Bon and Peppermint Chillatta. Peppermint Bon is exactly what you think it is. It’s the same soft, buttery cinnamon roll that we love but topped with crushed peppermint. On the other hand, Peppermint Chillatta is a minty frozen treat finished with whipped topping and crushed peppermint candy pieces.
Cinnabon is also offering CinnaPacks with festive red swirls on top, enclosed in a stunning red box. It’s perfect for sharing with loved ones, or as a gift for someone you know who loves fresh cinnamon rolls! And speaking of gifts, Cinnabon also has gift cards—worth considering if you want to spread more cheer this season. All the holiday treats are available at participating Cinnabon locations, until supplies last.
Both Carvel and Cinnabon are brands under GoTo Foods, which is probably why they’re aligned in releasing peppermint-flavored treats. In related food news, Carvel and Cinnabon is rumored to have a baby, Cinnamon Swirl, which is a mashup of the two dessert concepts. The plan is to open the first Cinnamon Swirl in Hawaii, with menu highlights including ice cream sandwiches in a variety of flavors and Bonini (a combination of Cinnabon classic roll and Carvel vanilla soft serve).

Other Holiday Menu Items You Shouldn’t Miss
Can you handle more of the holiday *sweet* flavors? It’s actually not just peppermint, we’ve noticed that Biscoff-flavored are resurfacing, spreading good cheer (and cookie butter goodness). Additionally, pies are getting a lot more common in every corner with a restaurant chain. Here are some other treats you might want to include in your nice list:

- Noggy or Nice Biscoff Shake from Jack in the Box – Craving eggnog flavors? You need this new vanilla shake blended with eggnog flavors and Biscoff crumbs, finished with whipped topping. Definitely a festive drink that will cool you down after all the holiday preparations.
- Thanksgiving Pie Doughnuts Collection from Krispy Kreme – It isn’t too late to grab a box of Krispy Kreme’s Thanksgiving pie doughnuts. There are four new items to try, including ones that feature the classic lemon and chocolate flavors.
- McDonald’s Holiday Pie – The Holiday Pie is just one of the many returning menu items at McDonald’s. It’s quite similar to Apple Pie, featuring a smooth custard filling underneath the flaky crust. The Holiday Pie is also glazed with sugar and topped with rainbow sprinkles for added crunch.

From The Club
It’s peppermint season, so it would be a shame if we don’t try Carvel and Cinnabon‘s holiday treats. I’m really excited about the Peppermint Bon from Cinnabon as a die-hard fan of their classic roll 😂 Carvel‘s Peppermint Hot Chocolate Sundae Dasher also screams Christmas, and if I’m gonna pick just one item to try from their holiday menu, it’s this. And did you see that Bacon Cheddar Chick Melt? Wow, I didn’t know I could enjoy chicken salad that way. There’s no Chicken Salad Chick near me, but I’m willing to drive just to try that chick melt!
