It’s the season of giving and more food chains are bringing us gifts and spreading good cheer in the form of new releases. From chicken restaurants like Chick-fil-A to food chains with healthy eats like Robeks, almost every brand is offering tempting new menu items. And if you’re not aware of these, then you’re missing out on something big! Celebrate holidays the way it should be—with these flavorful menu offerings.
Big Chicken
Big Chicken, a fast-casual restaurant founded by Shaquille O’Neal, is making spirits bright and BIG this holiday season. The brand is now offering it’s latest frozen treat: Holiday Crunch Shake. The seasonal menu item has made its debut last December 1, 2024, and those who were able to try enjoyed the merry mix of Big Chicken’s vanilla ice cream, pretzels, candy-coated chocolates, and salted caramel cookie pieces. Everything’s finished off with whipped cream on top. The brand promises that the new item packs BIG flavor in every sip. Joshua Sims, Big Chicken’s Head of Marketing, further shared that the Holiday Crunch Shake blends sweetness and crunch—the perfect treat to add extra cheer to your meals.

Meanwhile, to celebrate the holiday season, Burger King is bringing back not just one but two fan-favorites. Let’s talk about the return of BK Melts first. Yes, you read that right. The BK Melts lineup is coming back after their limited-time reappearance in 2023. You can, once again, indulge in the classic variety or take it up a notch by getting the Burger King shroom n’ Swiss melt. The latter features two patties, Swiss cheese, roasted mushrooms, and royal sauce in between two slices of bread. The classic option combines stacker sauce, American cheese, and caramelized onion. And there’s another option: bacon melt. This one’s pretty similar to the classic variety, but with bacon thrown into the mix. Take note that all BK melts feature two Jr. Whopper patties, so they’re gonna be filling. Each melt will also be available for $4.99.
Another item back by popular demand is Churro Fries. Sounds familiar? That’s because we just saw this item very recently, when Burger King released its Addams Family Halloween Menu. The Churro Fries are made with fried dough covered in cinnamon and sugar, and then served with chocolate dip on the side. According to Burger King, they’re bringing back this specific item due to its popularity. Fans called for a comeback and the fast food chain listened. The Churro Fries will be available all day, in four, eight, and 12 pieces per order, and you can add this item to as a side to any meal.
Additional reminder: if you want to grab both the melts and churros, act fast. They’ll be around for a limited time only and will reappear on the menu starting December 19, 2024.
Chick-fil-A
Apparently, Burger King isn’t the only fast food chain that’s bringing back crowd-favorite items. Over at Chick-fil-A, guests are also excited because the Grilled Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sandwich and Frosted Key Lime Lemonade will be returning to the menu. The catch? It’s happening in 2025. But that’s not something to worry about because 2025 is a few weeks away. According to food blogger @markie_devo, the returning items will be available starting January 6, 2025. If you need a little refresher about these fast food menu items, here are some details to take note of:
- Grilled Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sandwich – For this sandwich, the grilled chicken is marinated with a spicy seasoning, and then layered with lettuce, tomato, and Colby-Jack cheese. Everything’s served on a multigrain brioche bun.
- Frosted Key Lime Lemonade – This icy drink is a blend of lemonade, key lime flavor, and Chick-fil-A’s signature vanilla Icedream. For those who are health-conscious, the drink can also be prepared with diet lemonade.
Robeks
Speaking of healthy food options, Robeks also has something that’s both festive and refreshing. Say hello to the Winter Wondermint Smoothie! Just like any other inventive smoothies, acai bowls, and juices that Robeks is known for, the Winter Wondermint Smoothie is chock full of nutrients coming from its fresh ingredients. The new smoothie is made with the following:
- Topical pineapple
- Apple juice
- Spinach
- Creamy frozen yogurt
- Dried cranberries
- A hint of mint
According to the Vice President of Marketing at Robeks, Mitch Baker, the brand wants to offer something festive and unexpected, and that’s where the Winter Wondermint Smoothie comes in. It’s a crisp and minty blend that captures the flavors of the season. In addition to this limited-time offer, the brand also announced its gift card promo: spend $35 in gift card and receive $5 back.
