McDonald’s fans, rejoice! The year 2025 is going to be epic with the return of Snack Wraps, and hopefully Chicken Strips, too.

New menu items from McDonald’s are coming your way, and it’s time to get excited. The fast food giant has been teasing us for months about the return of an iconic menu item. And just when we thought it’s really just a rumor, McDonald’s President, Joe Erlinger, confirmed the comeback of Snack Wraps. Meanwhile, on Twitter, the brand casually dropped, “Snack wraps xx.xx.2025,” hinting that it won’t be long for us to see the return of an icon. And with this fast food news comes the hope for another much-awaited return. According to superfans, McDonald’s also took significant steps to bring back the chicken strips! Here’s everything we know so far about the exciting menu items to expect from the chain.

It’s official: Snack Wraps are coming back to McDonald’s menu in 2025. The exact date for the return hasn’t been confirmed but fans are expecting it’s going happen soon after the public announcement. This thrilling fast food news broke out during Erlinger’s appearance on Good Morning America. Almost a year ago, he promised that Snack Wraps will be back, and it looks like they’re delivering on that. Which is why, fans are now celebrating and some of them consider the return as a “Christmas miracle.” Others expressed that they’re already drooling for snack wraps.

So, what exactly is so cool about snack wraps? Well, let’s look at the ingredients. Snack Wraps are made with warm flour tortilla stuffed with everything delicious: chicken breast meat, lettuce, and shredded cheddar cheese. To top it all off, you get some of that tangy ranch sauce. They’re quite simple actually, and they were previously sold for under $3 each. It’s then interesting to see if McDonald’s will keep the old pricing or increase it in 2025.

It’s also worth noting that Snack Wraps were discontinued in most US locations in 2016, but some branches continued to serve them until 2020. The reason? Snack wraps caused too many trouble in the kitchen. The item reportedly took too long to make and doubled the amount of time allotted for serving each customer.

Fast forward to present time, snack wraps are now available in other parts of the world, including Canada and the UK. In both locations, McDonald’s released an improved lineup of McWrap and Chicken Snack Wrap, with fans indulging in exciting flavors like Sweet Chili, Zesty Lime, Chicken & Bacon, Ranch Chicken, and Spicy Buffalo Chicken.

As mentioned, aside from snack wraps, there’s another highly-anticipated item coming to the Golden Arches. Hopefully, we can soon say hello to Chicken Strips! Food blogger @snackolator shared on Facebook that the fast food chain recently took a big step to bring back this another iconic item. Last July, McDonald’s conducted a test run of the McCrispy Chicken Strips in Hickory, NY. While there’s no confirmation about a nationwide release, fans can’t help but hope for its comeback after the reintroduction of snack wraps. It’s unclear whether McDonald’s will be using chicken strips for their snack wraps, but I’m pretty sure we’ll find out soon!

From The Club

Looks like McDonald’s is releasing one holiday miracle after another! Kidding aside, new menu releases from the fast food chain just show that they’re listening to what fans are saying. I’m one of those who can’t wait to try the new Snack Wraps, and hopefully the production for that would be much more efficient, too. And those chicken tenders? They would be a nice, welcome break from chicken nuggets, and a perfect inclusion for the snack wrap!

Special thanks to @snackolator for the images and tip.
