Popeyes is dipping something really good this summer! 😋

McDonald’s and Taco Bell may have their Chicken Strips, but Popeyes isn’t going away without a fight. This season, they’re bringing their limited-time Chicken Dippers ($4.99) and their permanent addition of Popeyes Signature Sauce to their menu. Now, what’s special about these Chicken Dippers? They’re made with thin strips of all-white breast meat and hand-battered with Popeyes’ signature blend of Louisiana garlic and spice.

The Chicken Dippers are perfectly dipped in Popeyes Signature Sauce, which joins their extensive sauces line. Inspired by the brand’s New Orleans roots, Popeyes Signature Sauce combines different bold flavors of bell pepper, celery, and onion with garlic and hot sauce to give off the right amount of heat. The Signature Sauce is placed in a newly designed, rounded cup to dip your Chicken Dippers in easily. It’s not just made for the new chicken item, but also for the Cajun Fries, Chicken Sandwiches, Wings, and even their new fan-favorite Chicken Wraps.

Chef Amy Alarcon, VP of Culinary Innovation at Popeyes, shared that the new Popeyes Signature Sauce is something that they developed over the last five years to ensure that they’ll land on something that’s actually Popeyes. They took the step, ensuring that the sauce would be an iconic part of their menu.

If you want to mix and match your Chicken Dippers and Popeyes Signature Sauce with other of the chain’s popular menu items, you can do so with their new exclusive digital feature of Build Your Own Bundle. They’re available through Popeyes’ app and website, wherein they would be giving guests the flexibility to choose three menu items from proteins and two sides for a price of $20.

What are you waiting for? Grab your Chicken Dippers while they’re just rolled out. You can get them in restaurants or online in participating locations across the US and Canada. Meanwhile, the Popeyes Signature Sauce is here to stay as a permanent menu item.

What’s New at Popeyes?

Popeyes’ new Chicken Wraps ($3.99) are the hottest menu item at the chain right now. Debuted in June, these wraps rival the Snack Wraps that McDonald’s released last week. The Chicken Wraps feature everything that you love in this menu item. They have the hand-breaded and battered chicken tenders with crisp lettuce, shredded cheese, and crunchy pickles. They’re also topped with your choice of Classic, Spicy, or Honey Mustard spread. These fillings are wrapped in a soft tortilla inspired by their famous biscuits.

Matching the Chicken Wraps are the Blueberry Lemonade and Tea beverage lineup that dropped along with them. They build on the hype surrounding the Pickle Lemonade, but this time, they’re berry-infused. Choose among the Blueberry Lemonade (Chilled or Frozen), Blueberry Cane Sweet Tea, and Blueberry Unsweet Tea

KFC’s New Summer Additions

Do you ever wonder how KFC is doing in these Wrap games? They could easily bring their Zinger wraps back, but they said not today. Instead, here’s one for the pickle lovers:

If you miss KFC’s Pickle Fried Chicken, which launched back in 2018, then you’ll also love this one. Introducing the Fried Pickles, which are appetizers that are made with real tangy, and crunchy dill pickles. Each piece has been coated and fried to golden perfection. Like Popepyes’ Chicken Dippers, these Fried Pickles are perfect to dip in KFC’s Signature Comeback Sauce or Ranch.

If you’re looking for a dessert, then KFC also has a popping surprise for you. The Apple Pie Poppers are bite-sized desserts filled with warm apple filling and wrapped with buttery and flaky crust.

Have you ever wondered why KFC is dropping a new appetizer instead of joining the heated Chicken Wrap summer games? Well, according to the chain, they’re focusing on what their fans love, which is an Original Recipe Chicken. While Catherine Tan-Gillespie, President of KFC, admitted that the chain is well aware of the latest fried chicken rankings, so they’re launching a Kentucky Fried comeback. They’ve addressed their fans’ feedback, so they’re asking fans to return and give it a shot as the first bucket’s on them.

KFC loyalty rewards members will get a free bucket of fried chicken if they order $15 or more online or through the official app. The offer is only open for a limited time, so grab it while the free bucket of chicken is still waving at you.

From The Club

In my opinion, every fast food chain should have their own Signature Sauce as it’s something unique that not many chains have. By unique, I meant the flavor from the combination of spices. I could just imagine biting on my crispy Popeyes chicken with their Signature Sauce for dipping. Well, Popeyes happens to be one of my favorite fried chicken places, along with KFC. 🤤BRB, I’ll go for a Popeyes run right now!
