Pumpkin Patches Are Opening Across Arizona, And These 6 Farms Add Corn Mazes Too

Fall in Arizona does not always look like fall, but the pumpkin patches say otherwise. From the pine country of Snowflake to the farm fields of the East Valley, families are heading out to pick pumpkins and get pleasantly lost in rows of corn.

The six farms below go beyond a simple pumpkin pile, with corn mazes, hay rides, and plenty of reasons to stay for the afternoon. Save this list before your weekends fill up.

1. Mortimer Farms, Dewey, AZ

Plenty of farms open for a few weeks in fall and then lock the gate. Mortimer Farms runs the other way, operating as a working farm that stays open to the public all year.

October is when it hits full speed. The annual pumpkin festival brings fields of pumpkins, a big corn maze, pony rides, tractor rides, a petting zoo area, a carousel, ziplines, and a giant inflatable bounce pad.

Here is a fun tip for older kids and teens. Try the corn maze after dark if you want a spookier version of the same paths.

The farm also has a Market and Deli plus the Windmill Kitchen, and food trucks show up during busy festival days. Admission can add up for larger groups, so packing your own snacks is a smart move.

Regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 8 AM to 4 PM. If you enjoy it, the summer garlic and blackberry festivals give you a reason to come back.

2. Apple Annie’s Produce & Pumpkins, Willcox, AZ

Apple cider doughnuts might be the best reason to drive to Willcox in the fall. Apple Annie’s fries them fresh, and they are only the start.

This sprawling u-pick farm lets you wander produce fields and choose your own pumpkins, chiles, squash, tomatoes, and other vegetables. Sunflowers add a colorful backdrop, which makes the photo ops pretty easy.

A wagon ride carries visitors out to the pumpkin patch. The corn maze leans on the easy side, so younger kids can finish it without a meltdown.

Snack stops depend on the season, with roasted corn, kettle corn, fruit-infused lemonade, and tamales among the options. A gift shop, small restaurant, and mini market round things out, and pumpkin butter makes a nice take-home treat.

Hours run daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, and parking is free on site. I would plan a whole Southern Arizona road trip around this one.

3. Schnepf Farms, Queen Creek, AZ

Two corn mazes beat one, and Schnepf Farms delivers exactly that. You can reach the second maze by riding a tractor-pulled wagon with bench seating.

The farm carries real Queen Creek history, too. Visitors can learn how the area has changed since the Schnepf family settled there, which gives the fall visit a little more depth.

The pumpkin patch and fall activities draw big weekend crowds. Saturdays and Sunday mornings are the busiest, while Thursday afternoons are the calmest.

Buying tickets in advance is recommended. The farm is closed Monday through Wednesday and open Thursday through Sunday from 8 AM to 4 PM, with extra evening hours on Fridays.

A bakery, cafe, coffee shop, and playground make it easy to stay a while. Come spring and summer, u-pick peaches bring people back.

4. The Willis Farm, Snowflake, AZ

Laser tag at a pumpkin patch is not something you see every day. The Willis Farm in Snowflake adds it to a lineup that already includes a huge pumpkin patch and multiple corn mazes.

Each maze offers a different experience. There is an interactive maze that works well for kids, plus a haunted corn maze for anyone who likes a jolt.

A train ride, play zone, face painting, and food and snack trucks keep families busy between mazes. You can also buy pumpkins and corn before heading home.

Weather in the high country can change plans, so check the farm’s social media for closures and delays. Hours vary by day, with late nights until 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and the farm is closed Sundays.

5. Vertuccio Farms, Mesa, AZ

Timing matters with this Mesa stop. Vertuccio Farms opens for seasonal events only, and it is closed until its Fall Festival returns in October 2026.

When the gates open, the festival centers on a corn maze and pumpkin patch. Grab the maze map at the start, since it turns the walk into more of a game.

Younger kids get a small train ride and a kids zip line. For older kids, a low-key haunted corn field offers a few mild scares without going overboard.

Music and food add to the festival setup. The farm leans toward families with children, so adults without kids may find the corn maze the main draw.

Dogs are allowed, which is a nice bonus for families who bring the pup along. Parking includes a free lot and free street parking.

6. Mother Nature’s Farm, Gilbert, AZ

Shade is a big deal at an Arizona pumpkin patch in late September. Mother Nature’s Farm in Gilbert has plenty of it, with pumpkins set out near the pine trees.

Admission includes a small pumpkin you can pick yourself. It also covers a hay maze and a chance to see the farm animals.

A corn maze, hayrides, and a petting zoo with animals to feed keep kids moving. The hayride works as a tractor ride across the farm.

Bring cash, since sales inside the farm are cash only. Many families also pack their own water and snacks.

The pumpkin patch runs from late September through the start of November. Daily hours are 9 AM to 9 PM, and free parking makes the quick East Valley trip even easier.
