Let’s take a break from holiday-themed menu items, shall we? We know this time of the year could get so busy and in the thick of it all, you just want something…comforting. And when it comes to comfort food, there are two popular options: pizza and sandwich! Lucky for you, fast food giant McDonald’s is rumored to re-launch the iconic McRib, while Papa Murphy’s has a new pizza offering for a cozy bake-at-home experience. McDonald’s
It’s only a matter of time for US fans to get their hands (again) on the famous McRib from McDonald’s. Apparently, the fast food chain has decided to bring back one of the most popular discontinued fast food items, even after hosting its farewell tour in 2022. McDonald’s is already stirring up nostalgia in United Kingdom and Germany, as restaurants in these areas are now offering the McRib.
A lot of fans from the US are asking if the McRib is coming to Texas, and the answer is most likely. Texans might not even have to wait that much longer. In an interview at Today Show last June, McDonald’s president Joe Erlinger revealed that the McRib will be back later this year. Meanwhile, in Topeka, Kansas, the word is that McDonald’s restaurants will start offering the McRib around the week of November 25, and is expected to be available until January 2025.
So what’s special about the McRib? For those who are too young to witness this sandwich when it became popular in the 90s, imagine a rack of ribs. The patty of the McRib is shaped that way and is blanketed in a tangy BBQ sauce. It’s then served on a toasted homestyle bun, along with slivered onions and crunchy pickles. And by the way, the patty is made with seasoned boneless pork, so McRib is basically a BBQ pork sandwich. There’s no official statement from McDonald’s yet about the return of this sandwich, but stay tuned and follow along the latest food news here for updates!

Papa Murphy’s
Papa Murphy’s famously claimed that “home is where good pizzas are baked.” You know that could be your home, right? Don’t believe me? Try bringing home Papa Murphy’s latest Cheesy Stuffed Crust Pizza. The brand launched this new item to remind everyone how pizzas are meant to be enjoyed—with a cheesy stuffed crust! This new item is now available in more than 1,000 locations of Papa Murphy’s across the country.
According to the brand, the Cheesy Stuffed Crust Pizza is part of their “Create Your Own” menu section. It’s a homemade dough featuring hand-braided crust, packed with mozzarella cheese. You can order a one-topping Cheesy Stuffed Crust Pizza with a starting price of $13.99. However, in California and Alaska, it’s priced at $15.99 and $16.99, respectively. There’s also a small extra cost if you want to add other toppings. With the new Cheesy Stuffed Crust Pizza, Papa Murphy’s hopes to provide a one-of-a-kind pizza experience at home, with every bite reflecting the brand’s commitment to excellent quality and irresistible taste.
