Here is a farm that has earned a loyal following for its juicy apples and its bakery in equal measure. Golden Harvest offers U-pick apples, fresh cider, and cider donuts, plus a baked goods section stocked with pies, turnovers, and more.
The pie lineup is worth planning around. Dutch apple, blueberry, and cherry all make appearances, and the turnovers are just as tempting if you want something handheld.
Apples are the headliner, and the selection here is strong enough that many people call it their go-to spot for buying them. Honey and fresh vegetables fill out the market so you can grab dinner ingredients along with dessert.

4. Dr Davies Farm, Congers, NY
Apple picking here comes with a small paper bag and the freedom to wander the rows, snacking on a freshly picked apple as you go.
This is a warm family farm where the stands carry apple cider donuts, baked goods, cider, jams, and other produce alongside the fruit. If you want to make a day of it, there are food trucks and cidery stands set up on the property too.

5. Herman’s Farm Market & Cider Mill, Webster, NY
Over in the Rochester area, this farm market and cider mill keeps things classic with produce, cider, and baked goods, plus plants and flowers if you want to bring something home for the garden.
The apple cider is a standout, and the Honeycrisp cider in particular has fans who come back for it. The Honeycrisp apples themselves get high marks too, so this is a good stop for anyone loyal to that variety.
The bakery covers a lot of ground. Homemade apple pie shares the shelf with grape pies, fruit and spice breads, cookies, jams, tomato sauce, salsas, and donuts.
There is even cider and coffee to go if you are grabbing breakfast on the run.

6. Wright’s Farm, Gardiner, NY
Some farms lean on gimmicky kid attractions, and this one takes a different route. Wright’s Farm builds its reputation on an excellent selection of apples, a genuinely good farm stand, and real, hot lunch food instead of carnival extras.
The homemade pies and cider donuts are the sweet anchor, with autumn pies and fresh donuts filling the bakery each season. The farm even makes its own sparkling apple cider, which comes out crisp and refreshing.
Beyond the fruit, there is a nursery, a market, camping, and a scenic lookout on the property worth walking to. Kids get a playground-sized train to climb on, and live music turns up now and then at the on-site beer garden.
The farm sits at 699 NY-208 in Gardiner and opens early, from 8 AM to 6:30 PM daily. Dogs are welcome, there are restrooms including gender-neutral options, and parking is available in a free lot.
Weekend afternoons and evenings are the busiest, so mornings are your best bet for a calmer visit.
7. Cherry Bank Farm Cider Mill, Sanborn, NY
Set inside a barn that has stood for more than a hundred years, this cider mill near the western edge of the state is a true seasonal spot. It opens for fall, with a 2025 season kicking off on September 18th.
Cider is the main event, and the cold-pressed version here has a reputation as some of the best around. It pairs naturally with the fresh baked pies and cookies that come out of the bakery.
Apple fans have plenty to sort through, with over ten varieties for sale alongside squash and pumpkins as the season rolls on. That makes it an easy one-stop for both baking supplies and grab-and-go treats.
