- Bacon Ranch Loaded Queso Fries – Sonic’s Groovy Fries takes on a different spin as it is covered with white queso and a bacon topper. The fries are topped with even more melty shredded cheese and a drizzle of cream ranch to prove its Loaded Queso name.
- Southwest Loaded Queso Fries – If you prefer more flavor and spice, Sonic is also offering the Southwest Loaded option. The Groovy Fries is topped with white queso along with toppings of jalapeños, tomatoes, and onions. The fries are smothered with melty shredded cheese and Southwest sauce for a more flavorful kick.
The price of the Loaded Queso Fries starts at $3.99 for a medium-sized order. You can also pair them with your favorite Sonic menu items with a side of queso for just $1. Expect the Loaded Queso Fries to drop on September 2, 2024, for a limited time only. What’s The Buzz Around Sonic?
Besides new releases, Sonic also offered an exclusive deal for teachers this back-to-school season! Teachers enrolled under the Sonic Teacher’s Circle rewards program can redeem the following food deals with any purchase:
- Free Sonic Cheeseburger
- Free large drink or Slush
- $1.29 medium-sized Onion Rings
This was opened last August 19, 2024, to faculty and staff members under the K-12 schools or degree-granting universities. Last May, McDonald’s Canada has unveiled new flavors for their McShaker Fries: Masala and Churros. Quite unusual flavors we got there! The Masala Fries take inspiration from Indian spices as they add an exotic layer of flavor that balances out the spice and aroma of the powder. The Churros, on the other hand, is more of a dessert flavor with its sugar and cinnamon blend. We hope McDonald’s USA will also bring these flavored McShakers to the USA.

Fries are definitely one of my favorite sides out there, so it’s a good thing that fast food restaurants try to innovate it by turning them into a meal. Sonic’s Loaded Queso Fries is perfect for those (me) who love dipping their fries in melted cheese. I’m eyeing the Southwest Loaded Queso Fries as I want that spicy and ranch sauce taste to my overload fries. Oh well, I’ll definitely be on the lookout for its release.
