What’s the weirdest fast food collaboration you’ve known? Some brand partnerships make perfect sense. Others? Well, they leave you scratching your head and wondering, why and how did this even happen?  Whether it was a limited-edition item that broke the internet or a quirky crossover no one saw coming. Here are 10 of the weirdest fast food brand collaborations ever, and yes, they really happened.

10. Arby’s x Old Spice

Men’s deodorant and Arby’s? We’re starting off strong with this one as, believe it or not, they collaborated with Old Spice to create a Meat Sweat Defense Kit. No, you won’t be smelling like meat. It contains and Old Spice Meat Sweat Defense spray, towel, headband, $15 Arby’s gift card plus a beef-printed shirt and sweatpants.

Just recently, KFC collaborated with dental care brand Hissmile for a toothpaste and an electric toothbrush. Here’s where it gets weird: the toothpaste actually features a fried chicken flavor, complete with the 11 secret herbs and spices. There’s also an electric toothbrush in red bearing the KFC logo of Colonel Sanders.

It isn’t weird for fast food brands to collaborate with celebrities to be their brand’s endorser. The weird thing about this collaboration is the Shawn Mendes Bowl that fans can purchase. It features a healthy bowl of cauliflower, black beans, chicken, salsa, and guacamole.

If you love Ben & Jerry’s cow concept and color, you’ll definitely love the Ben & Jerry’s SB Dunk from Nike. It is called the Chunky Dunky with the iconic Ben & Jerry’s colors of sky blue, yellow, and green.

Crocs is known to have a pretty funky personality when it comes to footwear, and they’re bringing KFC with them. The KFC x Crocs collaboration features a fried chicken print design. There’s also an eye-catching giant Jibbitz charm of fried chicken drumsticks.

5. Pizza Hut x IKEA

IKEA’s Hong Kong locations collaborated with fast food pizza chain Pizza Hut to release the SÄVA. It is a human-sized functional table that took the design of the chain’s Pizza Savers. In case you don’t know, those Pizza Savers are the white mini table-like plastics that help you get a piece of pizza. 

4. Dunkin’ x Scrub Daddy

For June’s National Doughnut Day last year, a weird collaboration emerged between Dunkin’ and Scrub Daddy, a cleaning product tool. The sponges are made to resemble donuts from Dunkin’ with their shape and design.

Ever wondered how Milk Bar’s iconic Birthday Cake can be upgraded? The iconic cake has been reimagined with layers of it and festive sprinkles along with cheddar frosting. There’s also some Cheetos pieces added to the layers for a mixture of sweet and cheesy per bite.

2. Auntie Anne’s x Cinnabon x Spirit Halloween

Last year, Auntie Anne’s and Cinnabon collaborated with America’s largest Halloween retailer, Spirit Halloween. The brands released adult-sized costumes in Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Cup and Cinnabon Box 3D costumes. With this, Auntie Anne’s also released some Halloween Buckets while Cinnabon released Spirit CinnaPacks, which feature classic cinnamon rolls with themed Halloween sprinkles.

Chipotle and a makeup brand? Yup, it happened back in 2020 and 2021. In the makeup line, E.l.f. created a lip gloss called “Make It Hot,” which is inspired by Chipotle’s hot sauce. Second, there’s also an eyeshadow palette with 12 shades with names like “Sofritas” and “Hot Salsa.” There’s also an avocado-shaped sponge and a makeup bag that is made to look like a Chipotle brown bag.
