The Latest Fast Food Must-Trys from Dairy Queen, McDonald’s, and More

Enjoying February so far? With the Super Bowl behind us and Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the newest menu releases. It’s one of the best months to get new food off our favorite fast food!

But hold on, there’s even more on the way. Whether you’re planning a Valentine’s weekend treat or just craving something new, we’ve got the latest fast-food finds (and news) you won’t want to miss. If you’re up for it, then read along and score the best finds to spread the love this month of love.

Dairy Queen

Enjoying Dairy Queen’s Valentine’s specials of Red Velvet Cake Blizzard and the Red Velvet Blizzard Cupid Cake? There’s more to come, but we will have to wait until March to get a scoopful of mint.

That’s right! For the St. Patrick’s Day special, Dairy Queen is welcoming back a flavor deemed a favorite by many. Better get excited as you’re about to get a taste once again of their Mint Oreo Blizzard, which will be available before March 17, 2025. This green dessert treat is filled with texture and chocolatey cookies thanks to the Oreo pieces that fill the cup.

While Dairy Queen usually offers a chocolate-mint-flavored Blizzard for the Irish holiday, the Mint Oreo Blizzard was last seen in 2020. If you’re wondering, Dairy Queen released the Mint Brownie Blizzard last year along with the St Patrick’s Day Under the Rainbow Shake. Unfortunately for the fans of the sprinkle-filled strawberry shake, Dairy Queen won’t bring them back, at least for this year.

If you love the combination of mint and Oreo, then March is definitely your month since McDonald’s will also be adding their Shamrock Shake and Oreo Shamrock McFlurry to the brand’s menu nationwide. Well, the battle of St. Patrick’s Day Oreo Mint dessert is on, but instead of picking sides, it’s better to taste all the mint-flavored treats that the month of March offers.

Dairy Queen’s Mint Oreo Blizzard is available for a limited time only, but there’s no information yet on how long they’ll be standing on the menu. Streets say that they’ll be available through March 17, 2025. Until then, let’s cross our fingers that we get until the end of March to enjoy this minty treat. Or, better yet, the Mint Oreo Blizzard joins the regular menu of Dairy Queen’s line of Oreo specialties.

Dutch Bros

It wasn’t that long since Dutch Bros released their cereal-inspired drinks of Cinnamon Swirl and Marshmallow Dream. But now, they’re back again with a new drink, this time, a Valentine’s special featuring strawberries!

The Oregon-based chain is bringing something for fans this month of love, and of course, it’s inspired by the holiday as well! Dutch Bros introduces their two new seasonal drinks, which are Chocolate Covered Strawberry Mocha and Strawberries & Cream Rebel. Curious about how they taste? Check out the beverages’ flavor profiles:

  • Chocolate Covered Strawberry Mocha – This drink is one of the chain’s featured coffee for this month. It features a velvety strawberry mocha, which is topped off with Soft Top (Dutch Bros’ signature cold foam) and heart candy sprinkles for an extra sweet crunch.
  • Strawberries & Cream Rebel – If you’re looking for a twist to your usual pick-me-up drink, then this might work wonders for you. It’s Dutch Bros’ exclusive version of an energy drink featuring a blend of strawberry and sweet cream. They’re combined together with a Rebel energy drink and topped off with signature Soft Top and heart candy sprinkles.

Looking for breakfast options? Dutch Bros also has them! If you love drinking milk from cereals, then you should try out the chain’s breakfast cereal-inspired beverages:

  • Cinnamon Swirl – If you love cinnamon or you’re a fan of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, then this drink is perfect for you. It features cinnamon sugar cereal-flavored milk with a Soft Top and dusting from the cereal. When ordering this drink, you can get it as Latte, Protein Latte, Freeze, or Chai Latte.
  • Marshmallow Dream – Missing those cereal marshmallows that you had as a kid? This Marshmallow Dream beverage is topped with a layer of Soft Top and marshmallow charms. Like the cinnamon swirl, you can get this drink in Latte, Protein Latte, Freeze, or Chai Latte.

All of these drinks are available at all Dutch Bros locations, but they’re available for a limited time only. Get them while they’re still freezing at all Dutch Bros locations. You can grab two for your date or a couple more for your family, friends, or colleagues. After all, love month is also about appreciation for the people who matter in your life.

McDonald’s

McDonald’s announced the comeback of their Snack Wraps and Chicken Strips back to their menu last year. They even tested out the Chicken Strips quietly at select locations. But it seems like the wait for a nationwide release is forever for many fans. We have some good news: the moment you’ve been waiting for is finally here.

Food blogger @Snackolator shared that they received a confirmation that McDonald’s is officially bringing the Chicken Strips back. According to the news they received, it was announced during an earnings call. Unfortunately, no actual date for when they’re coming back, but it was said to expect them by spring or summer of this year.

The Chicken Strips features a chicken breast that is rolled into a crispy batter and fried to perfection. They’re served together with the sauce of your choice for dipping.

As for the Snack Wraps, they’re also said to return by 2025, but there’s no date for its release yet. Hopefully, they’ll be released around the same time as the Chicken Strips. In case you’re not familiar with Snack Wraps, they’re wrapped in warm tortilla flour stuffed with chicken breast meat, lettuce, and shredded cheddar cheese, all smothered with tangy ranch sauce.

From The Club

I’m excited about Dutch Bros’ new Strawberries & Cream Rebel as someone who started drinking energy drinks. Strawberry-flavored energy drinks are somewhat new to me as I’m used to just generic-tasting ones. I also can’t wait for McDonald’s Snack Wraps and Chicken Strips because, admittedly, I’m one of those fans who’ve been waiting forever to taste them. As for Dairy Queen’s Mint Oreo Blizzard, I’m not sure if I’m willing to try them since I’m not a fan of mint flavors. Still, it’s a pretty good month to have these treats soon.
