1. Monk’s Bar & Grill, Wisconsin Dells, WI
Cheese curds are practically a Wisconsin food group, and the ones fried up here have earned a serious reputation around the Dells. The full order arrives crisp and golden, and it pairs well with just about anything on the menu.
Sitting at 220 Broadway in the heart of downtown, this spot has been serving burgers and American comfort food since 1947. The It’s All Gouda Burger and the Bacon Cheeseburger are longtime favorites, while bigger appetites go for the Monster Burger or the brisket sandwich.
It is set up as a family-friendly sports bar, so there are plenty of televisions, a kids’ menu, and high chairs on hand. Service tends to be quick, and the casual, historic atmosphere works whether you are grabbing lunch or a late bite.
Hours run from 11 AM to midnight on weekdays and open a little earlier on weekends. They do not take reservations, so expect a wait during busy Saturday evenings.

2. The Del-Bar, Wisconsin Dells, WI
If you want to understand what a Wisconsin supper club really means, this Prairie-style dining room on Wisconsin Dells Parkway is a fine place to start. It leans upscale without feeling stuffy, with a fireplace and a classic, mellow vibe.

The menu is pure Wisconsin supper club at a higher price point, generally landing in the $40 to $100 per person range. Popular plates include the Prime Rib and Jumbo Fried Shrimp, Chicken Oscar, roast Wisconsin duck, and twin lobster tails.
Signature specialty drinks like the Totem Pole Bloody Mary and the Pink Moccasin round out the experience, and there is often live music. The Wisconsin cheese curds and Caesar salad make solid starters.
Note that this place does not take reservations, and there is usually a wait, so plan for a relaxed evening rather than a rushed one. Hours run 3:30 to 10 PM on weekdays and open at 3 PM on weekends.

4. River’s Edge Pub & Grub, Wisconsin Dells, WI
An actual oak tree grows inside the bar here, which is a detail you will not forget once you spot it. The cabin-style room leans into that rustic character at 30 Co Rd A, a bit off the main tourist strip.
The menu keeps things casual and hearty. You will find a Bacon Cheeseburger, a 10 oz top sirloin, Prime Rib and Shrimp, plus Wisconsin cheese curds and Mucho Nachos for the table.
There are lighter options too, like the steakhouse salad and taco salad, so the group is not stuck with only heavy plates. Bar games and televisions make it a comfortable spot to hang around for a while.
One handy quirk: it opens at 8 AM daily and stays open until midnight, giving it one of the longest windows on this list. It accepts reservations, offers outdoor seating, and even does delivery.

5. Bella Goose Coffee – Cafe on the River, Wisconsin Dells, WI
Morning people, this is your corner of the Dells. The windows look out over the dam and river, giving the modern space a genuine waterfront view that most coffee shops in town cannot match.
Drinks cover the full range, from a chai tea latte and vanilla bean latte to a cortado, flat white, and the house Daily Brew. There are seasonal picks like salted caramel and lavender mint lattes too.
The food is where it stands out from a typical espresso stop. Avocado toast with a fried egg, biscuits and gravy, breakfast wraps, and a spinach feta sammie are all made from scratch, with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options.
It is a friendly place to work on a laptop, with free wi-fi and outdoor seating where dogs are welcome. Open 7 AM to 5 PM every day, and mornings on the weekend get busy.

6. Paul Bunyan’s Cook Shanty, Wisconsin Dells, WI
Come hungry, because the whole idea here is a lumberjack-sized, all-you-can-eat spread served family style. The cabin-themed decor leans into that logging camp theme from the moment you walk in.
Breakfast is the headliner, with buttermilk flapjacks, scrambled eggs, sausage links and ham, country potatoes, biscuits and gravy, and homemade buttermilk sugared donuts. Unlimited milk, coffee, juice, and soda come with it.
Everything arrives at the table in big shared portions, so it works well for families and larger groups looking for solid value. There is also a gift shop attached if you want to browse after eating.
A couple of planning notes matter here. It is open 7 AM to 12:30 PM Thursday through Tuesday and closed on Wednesdays, so it is a morning-and-midday destination only.
Reservations are not accepted, weekends get crowded, and parking is free and plentiful.
