Walmart is recalling its Mainstays Electric Mini Choppers because they could cause cuts. These choppers were sold in Walmart stores and online from August 2022 to October 2023. Around 51,750 were sold across the country, priced between $10 and $15 each.

The recall was announced by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (USCPSC) on April 5, 2024. Walmart took this step after receiving reports of five people getting cut while using the chopper. Two of them needed medical attention, including stitches. The injuries happened while assembling or cleaning the product.

The affected choppers have model number MS14100094536S1, which you can find on the bottom of the clear plastic bowl. They’re cordless, with a green lid, white body, and clear plastic bowl. There’s only one blade attachment, with three curved blades on a white plastic spindle.

If you have one of these choppers, stop using it right away. Contact Walmart for a refund or return it to the store where you bought it.
