1. Solebury Orchards, New Hope, PA

The trees range from easy-reach heights to some of the tallest you will find, and yes, that means a few ladders for the ambitious pickers. Beyond apples, the farm also runs pick-your-own blueberries earlier in the season, which brings families back year after year.
Prices tend to stay reasonable, and the wagon ride out to the orchard is a hit with kids. It is open Thursday through Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM, with hours that shift by season, so check before you go.

2. Weaver’s Orchard Inc, Morgantown, PA
Set in the scenic hills of Berks County, this family owned orchard pairs a year-round farm market with pick-your-own fruit when it is in season. The location is convenient too, just about 15 minutes from Reading and 5 minutes off the Morgantown turnpike interchange.
Apples here are easy to reach, which makes it a friendly outing for younger pickers and grandparents alike. Ambrosia is a standout variety when available, known for being crisp and sweet.
Across the year you can also pick strawberries, blueberries, peaches, and pears, and the farm often runs weekend activities when the weather cooperates. The views while you are out picking are part of the draw.

If you like your apple picking with a full slate of farm fun, this Breinigsville spot delivers. Fall brings a festival packed with pumpkin picking, a corn maze, and hay rides on top of the orchard rows.
The variety of apples is one of the big selling points. You can pick a huge assortment right off the trees, or grab already-picked bags if you would rather skip the work.
Fresh fruits, vegetables, and cut flowers round out the season, and the farm has even offered dig-your-own potatoes that turn into fries made on site. It is a place built around keeping the whole family busy.

4. Mt Airy Orchards, Dillsburg, PA
Cider donuts and ice cream tend to be the tiebreaker for kids, and this Dillsburg orchard has both alongside its endless apple rows. Specializing in apples and peaches, it keeps things simple and satisfying.
Short on time? The farm store carries fresh apples, pumpkins, baked goods, and canned foods, so you can still leave with a haul even if you skip the picking.
There is a large outdoor area for kids to play and a gift store to browse.
Parking is free and plentiful, which makes a busy fall Saturday a lot less stressful. Tuesday and Wednesday tend to be the quietest days if you prefer smaller crowds.

5. Styer Orchard Inc., Langhorne, PA
Room to roam is the headline here. A preserved 107-acre orchard and farm in Middletown Township, this Langhorne spot gives families plenty of space to walk the rows and let kids run.
Picking is refreshingly simple. Several apple varieties are on offer, you pick what you like, and you pay by weight at checkout.
A pumpkin patch sits nearby with a backdrop of colorful fall leaves, so a two-year-old can proudly carry off a pumpkin of their own.
The farm store is where things get filling, with a bakery, deli, and grocery stocked with pies, hoagies, soups, cookies, lunch meat, and cider. You can buy everyday or order ahead for later.
Dogs are welcome inside, and parking is free. Hours are Monday through Saturday 7 AM to 7 PM and Sunday 8 AM to 6 PM, at 97 Styer’s Ln, Langhorne.
6. Triple B Farms, Monongahela, PA
Down in the southwest corner of the state near Pittsburgh, this Monongahela farm leans hard into pick-your-own variety. Across the growing season you can gather sunflowers, blueberries, peaches, apples, and flowers.
The apple field is a short walk from the parking lot, which makes it easy for families with little ones in tow. One useful tip: the fields typically close to new pickers about 30 minutes before the posted hours, so arrive with time to spare.
Beyond the fields, the farm market sells fresh produce grown on site, freshly baked goodies, and Amish-made cheeses and butter. Spring and fall both bring a full day of family activities.

7. Soergel Orchards, Wexford, PA
Big, busy, and packed with things to do, this Wexford farm is a fall staple north of Pittsburgh. Alongside the apple orchard you will find a large pumpkin patch, a cider press, a garden center, and a bakery.
Kids get plenty to keep them occupied, from wooden play houses and cars to a small animal area with goats, sheep, and pigs. Activities run on a ticket system, with tickets sold for a dollar each.
The apples grown here taste great, and if you would rather not pick, you can buy pre-picked bags at the store. The farm gets busiest on weekend and Friday afternoons, so mornings earlier in the week are calmer.
